Pretty much. But instead of rousing Communist anthems, there's dreadful J-Pop.

The SEED Zakus (of which the pink one is an example)  are a bit smaller than the UC ones. Different series, different universe.

If I recall right, there were several times the EFF used Zaku's. I think one of the Episodes of MS IGLOO Had a team of 6 stolen Zaku's

alond with the fact that Zaku II's were reversed engineered to Federation MS's I think (it might be different from the original show to The Origin)

This is all WAAAAAY over my head..........  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Get into Gundam and there are lots of new acronyms (or probably more properly Initialisations) to learn.
I've watched all of the 50 or so part Gundam Seed Destiny series and probably understood about 50% of what was going on.  It doesn't help when they throw up subtitles for the background dialogue or song at the top of the screen plus subtitles for what the characters are saying at the bottom all changing faster than I can take them in because they are speaking fast.

Maybe you need a Mobile Suit astride your N gauge railway layout Kit?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Well, this is what a long runner sci fi does. Similarly, try explaining Star Trek or Doctor Who to people who don't even know. Then Start them with the bad guys!

I'm sure there are a few more Mecha fans around here : D

Well it does not help that you started with (My Opinion) one of the weaker shows in the Gundam Multiverse (I like orignial SEED and Stargazer better of that universe)

If you want to start with gundam, a good entry point would be Gundam 00, with the first half having a cold war vibe in a modern styling.

If you like older animation, you could go with the 90's Classics like Gundam Wing, or the OVA series 08th MS team, War in the Pocket and Stardust memories.

If you can handle older still, there is the Original Mobile Suit Gundam Movies, they were on netflix for the longest time...
There is Gundam the Origin, a retelling of the Original gundam story, it is coming soon, but you can buy the Hard cover now (I have up to volume 6)

Also, Most gundam kits come in three scales, 1/144th (High Grade and Real Grade) 1/100th (Master Grade, like this Zaku) and 1/60th(Perfect grade)

I know my way around Giant Robots, so if you want to know more, I or more people would be happy to throw some know.

I'm not wanting to dive right in.  I don't have the time.  I love the kits and thought I should watch some of the anime to give me a better idea of what i was building.  I might check out the original seed though having watched seed destiny (which I enjoyed even if I had trouble following some of it).
I've got a half finished Guncannon i'm demilitarising (it's waiting for me to build it a surfboard) and a snapped together sniper I need to pull apart and give a shades of black "ninja" paintjob.

Love the work you've done on detailing and modifying this. The diorama background gives it a great feel of being 'in the moment' too.
An EFF Zaku works well too - there's certainly precedent for it in the canon, and it seems likely to have happened as well. The paint scheme and the weathering fit really well too. Great work!

I have some 1/144's I'm working ideas out for before I build them, and I'm eager to get more. I used to be quite into Gundam modelling, but I never really painted or details my old kits. I've got back into it again now, as I've got back into modelling altogether. I'll have to post some of mine too, when I get around to building them. I hope you do some more too.

Thanks very much :)
When it came out in 2011 I bought a 1/144 Zee Zulu and I've been working on that on and off. It will be the next one I'll post (I can guarantee that because it's the only Gunpla left in the stash) but I don't know when that will be.
And yes, please post your Gundam work once it's in progress! It'll be great to see
