Still waiting for paint.
It's only coming from Melbourne. I could have walked there to get it by now.
This is what happens when you use a courier service instead of lying to Australia Post about there being paint in the parcel.

It is now painted all over Light Gull Grey.
To this, some other colours will be added.

Colours. It seems the PDRV Republican Police favour sky blue and yellow orange. These may have to be toned down a touch with a filter. Fan ducts have a blue stripe round the top and an orange one round the bottom.
Any similarities to the colours of Fred's slacks & Velma's Turtleneck are coincidental.

No time to do much today other than slot some bits together and snap a pic.

Seen in the Mount Martha workshops of Zenrat Industries. A Republican Police overt surveillance tiltfan up on ramps.

Not much done today apart from getting the fan engines in place, the fans fitted and some hydraulic lines for the tilt mechanisms.
I also did a bit more painting on the pilot and made a start on a crewman (lying prone in the back with a camera - his head needs to be removed and re-angled).
Undercarriage, props and painting the window frames next.

Nearly done. Undercarriage to finish painting plus the canopies and cameraman. Then final assembly and it's finished.
I've written half a back story so I need to finish that as well.

Canopies are a bitch. 4 separate pieces, 3 with smallish panes of glass. I'm using my usual technique of acrylic paint, 4-zero brush and a toothpick to scrape excess off the "glass". Problem is the paint I used is gloss so I'll need to flat it with something. I have flat acrylic clear but that'll risk screwing up the acrylic frame paint. Time to see how dried up that ancient tin of Humbrol satin clear in the clears drawer is.
