Hello,
My contribution
I'll build from the Grumman Duck by Airfix a civilian Canadian machine.
The kit is quite old must be Frog or so.
I think it is a fun build  ;D

Always wanted to do something with one of these........maybe a Mad max/Waterworld style flying contraption......like the one that strafed Costner's boat.......
BODY,BODY....HEAD..!!!!

Interesting, I love the odd looks of the Duck.  Scooper?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

OPAS (Ontario Provincial Air Service) had two Loening Model 23 Air Yachts:

The Model 23 preceded the later OL and C-1/-2 series aircraft which were the direct predecessors
of the Grumman Duck.

So perhaps OPAS as an operator for your Duck?

Funny I've never heard of OPAS ! cool.

It's not a private organization OW, it's the RCAF or ( CAF if you go back a couple of years)

The USCG used both JF (Models G-7, G-9, G-10) and J2F (Model G-15), the aircraft in the pics is a JF-2.
The J2F-5/6 aircraft were 'borrowed' from the USN during WWII.

What the Wikipedia descriptions miss is that, along with a number of detail differences, the main float was lengthened on the J2F series.

It is an Airfix release from 1968.
This looks like it is going to be a fun build.

Any Duck's a good Duck....one of my absolute all time favourites ever since my Grampa took me to see Murphy's War (and it was a whiff too ).

I love a good Duck.  Maybe I'll look out for one at Expo on Monday.
I can picture a monoplane conversion.  I have some  spare P39 wings in the parts box.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
