I'm thinking if the Mig-29 Fulcrum would be a Swing wing fighter jet like the F-14 Tomcat and I think the Chinese could develop a Swing Wing Mig-29. What do you say to that?

zenrat

You should draw or model some of these ideas Jesse.
Fred

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Zombolt

Sure Why not?

You can even go full F-14 and say it's for the Chinese Carrier floating around.

Or go Full Su-22/MiG-27/Tornado and go A2G action with a anti runway thingy/cluster bombs

Captain Canada

I'd love to see that as well...great idea !

I guess I could try to draw a swing wing Fulcrum

Because he, above all, is a BUILDER!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

A very prolific builder at that. If you go to HERE you will see the first of Dizzyfugu's listed postings which go on to page 30 which is 4 complete pages at 20 postings per page plus the 11 on page 25 where the link directed you to for a grand total of 111 builds since he registered on the site almost exactly three years ago! So yes he does know what he is talking about  ;D

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Sounds like a good Idea Thanks

McColm

It helps if you have a drawing or reference to glance at from time to time during your build. I must admit this doesn't always work if you're creating something no one has ever built before. Or selecting a name before doing some research first.

The post was not meant to devaluate a graphic designer's work, rather an ironic comment. It's a (great) inspirational source, and also a lot of work that should not be underestimated.
But from what I can tell after creating kits from profiles (e. g. the F-24 "Namer", a real co-production) is that 3D body work is something different from "just" creating a 2D drawing of something, where tweaking lines and grafting parts together is sometimes a bit easier...  ;)

McColm

Found that out when building a twin boom version of the Hasegawa Lockheed Neptune. :banghead:
