Congratulations on the new job!
Today is/was a full Moon, so if you didn't turn into a wolfman or wolfspiderman, the meds must be working....

Thanks, Frank!  ;D
I'm already pretty close to a werewolf with all the body hair so to mix a Wolfman and spiderman, that would be the real deal!  ;D

Ok, time for an update here, i guess...

Modelling related news aren't many but still, i have been doing some small things every now and then...

F-16W - Fin bases are glued in place but will need some PSR to finish them, need to scratchbuild some more parts for the
              engine/exhaust area.

Moroccan RF-5E - Needs a matte coat to seal up the weathering, pilot has to be put in the cockpit and then it's just a matter of
gluing the small bits and removing masks.

PoAF Hawker Hunter - Have to correct the mess i made while painting the gun port area (spray some white, paint the gun ports
again) before i can move on with the build.

This is what i currently have on the bench and i'd like to finish these three before the end of the year but at the rate i've been building, it'll probably be before the end of the year... of 2023!!  :banghead:

Now, the big news...
If all goes well, in about 8 months from now, i will be giving up my modelling room and move my bench and stash to the garage...
Yes, my better half is having our baby so, the room will be his/hers...  ;D
We got confirmation with the test this past Tuesday and it said she's 3/4 weeks pregnant so, here we go...
I don't have a clue of how it's going to affect my already slow building rate although i'm sure it will undoubtedly take it's toll but, i'll be busy with more important matters... like changing diapers...  ;D
Anyway, me and milady are very happy and anxious to begin this journey and i had to share the news with my brothers!

My wife and I are expecting our first granddaughter in December. That kid will be so spoiled!!!!

Congrats on the new baby!

There's a few guys in my club who swear they get most modelling done in the early hours - when the baby refuses to go to sleep.

The best possible reason to have to give your modelling room up  ;D

Heartiest congratulations to you and your lady
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Congratulations on the baby news!

I had to wait 24 years to get a modelling room (OK, it was only about 11 because I only got back into the hobby in 2009), when one of the daughters finally moved out permanently. ;)

Me and Milady thank you all for the love, guys!

@Ken - yep, summer is a good season for the child to be born in, much better than with the rain and cold.
And congratulations on the granddaughter!
I'm not sure i'll be around to see a grandson/daughter but it must be great to see the family growing like that.

@Nick - guess i'll find out soon enough...  ;D

@NARSES2 - Chris, i admit i'm a bit sad about having to give up my cave but i have no option as we only have 3 bedrooms. One has been my cave, the other is milady's sewing room. Just like a plastic modeller's bench but with a sewing machine and cloth all over the place instead of a compressor and plastic. ;D
The closest bedroom to our main one is my cave so that will be the bedroom for the child.
My plan is to assemble the bench in the garage until i can finish the attic. If the attic is well insulated, i should be ok with the humidity in the winter and the heat in the summer. Still, with so much on my mind at the moment, that is not a priority.  ;D

@Old Wombat - Guy, i suspect that, although i've been building very slowly, i won't be able to go too long without some sort of space for modelling and music. I also have a small home studio in the cave that's enough for me to record my music stuff so, i'll have to find a way to get everything set up again.

@zenrat - Fred, yep, the little one has no clue of what's waiting for him/her outside... ;D

Well, this is a first for me so, lots to think about and organize in the coming months... One thing i'm glad i did was to buy almost every model i really want to build before this happened. I'll be reducing my monthly modelling budget to a very low amount, at least during the next months(years?)...  I'll be buying diapers, toys and everything else needed for the child so, it's obvious that priorities have to change.
No worries, though, i have 220 kits in my stash so it's not like i'll run out of models to build anytime soon.   ;D

I suggest you try to get the attic finished before the bambino arrives as you won't have much time after.

In 20 years, this decision will be the best you've ever taken. In the meantime, though..
Lovely, news, still, and with my own experience of three younglings, you will find less time for hobbies during a period. But it's worth it. Incredibly worth it!
My sincere congratulations!
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Delighted to hear this news.  Have you already started building up a simple stash  for the new arrival?   I'll admit to half a dozen simple  snap together kits stockpiled for my (three year old ) grand daughter.

Yeah, you're probably right. I've been thinking about it and i can do most of the stuff like the roof  insulation and leveling the floor, lay tiles, etc., so it's just a matter of buying materials and get it going.

Thank you, Pellson and Rheged!

I admit that i'm a bit scared but i knew that this would happen and i believe it will be worth it, the child is the priority in everything now, except for my wife's health.
All i want is for her and the baby to be healthy and the rest is secondory.

Not yet but i have thought about it...
Snap together kits seem like a good idea, especially because i know how the revell and airfix F-22 kits are. I have both and i can see myself buying more of those and also some Legos. But if the child is anything like me, he/she will soon want more than just Lego bricks. ;D

Congratulations to you and your wife! You'll probably be building a lot of "models" soon - just not plastic ones (cribs ,beds, etc)
