Good news on the house.
I think i'd use the attic but it will get awful hot in the summer if it's not insulated.

Sounds like the club meet went well.  Getting kids into modelling is important as they are natural whiffers.

Glad the house is moving forward

Thanks, brothas!
I've been thinking of the attic but it does need insulation. I also though of a couple of windows to have some natural light in there but I have to look into it better. Also need to cover the bare cement floor but there's a bunch of stuff that has to be done downstairs. I'll let Milady choose which room she wants for her sewing and related hardware and then I'll think of my space... Although I've already suggested that the attic would make a nice mancave...
Anyway, I'll also have a nice garage which I believe won't be occupied by any vehicles besides my BMX...
I've imagined lots of stuff that can be done in that house but I just wanna get the papers signed, money transferred and the keys in my hand to be able to really focus on what I'll actually do.

They're not sinkholes, they're SPEED DIMPLES.   ;D

:o opss, my bad... Excuse my ignorance, I didn't recognize them as such cause I wasn't aware of such hi-tech molding...  ;) Guess Heller was way ahead of their time when they made the kit I had...  ;D ;D

Well, the Monogram Spitfire is pretty much ready for some paint but I don't have a proper space to set up the compressor here at my parents house. That's making me wanna start something else... Maybe another chopper... I'll decide that tonight...

I don't know about that, golf balls were made with dimples to improve their flight trajectory from the early 1900s. ;)

So, after almost 6 months, me and Milady have our home sweet home!!!

Paper signing was done yesterday afternoon, and the move began right afterwards.
Today is day two of the load/unload sessions and I hope to get most of the stuff in the house, waited for this for a long time.
I borrowed a big van from my boss to make everything easier to carry.
I guess that I'll always remember when I bought a house, the day after the D day anniversary.  ;D
It'll be a while till I have everything set up in the house and I still have to talk to the internet/cable TV company to get that hooked up but we have light and water already.
I'll be very busy for the next week or so but I'll keep posting updates and I'll put up some pics soon.

Well done mate, it is a day you will always remember  I can still remember the very first time I was handed the keys of my own property, only for Janet to take them straight off of me  ;D That was 45 years ago
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Congratulations!

Relationships always seem to become more "real" when you have your own house together, too. <_<

Oh, & beware of the "New house. New baby." syndrome, too. ;)

Magic stuff, that's REALLY good news!  ;D

Oh, & beware of the "New house. New baby." syndrome, too. ;)

And there we have our answer to where to put the model building room!! If you DON'T put it in the attic, the possibility will always exist that it could be commandeered in the future to serve nursery duty.  ;D

Of course a quick vasectomy would ensure you wouldn't have to worry about that... :o :o :o ;)

Now that's the REAL solution!!!   Man, there has been a lot of talk of this lately.  :o ;D

How do you tell if a man has recently had a vasectomy?

You don't have to, he'll tell you.

  ;D

IME in the first couple of weeks back at work they will talk of nothing else.

Thanks, guys!!
I'm pretty sure I won't forget that day, pretty much a dream come true for me and Milady.

Brad, yup, it's a good time to move stuff because it isn't raining. But it could be better if I already had the porch I wanna have in the terrace. I guess a big garden umbrella will have to do the job this year.

Wombat, i'm in real danger of contracting the new house, new baby síndrome, I admit...
This is the third day in my new home and there's still so much to do... It will be fun when we get everything setup like we want to.

Now, regarding the vasectomy, no way, Jose, not for me!!!  ;D ;D
We want to have a kid, but first we wanna get everything organized(if that's ever possible) to have the necessary conditions for that.

So, i've permanently moved in to my new home!  :drink:
I've checked in once in a while to see what you guys have been up to but little time for more has been left after working at work and at home.
Things have been slowly settling down, new habits, daily routines and the rest of the work it takes to get the house to proper living conditions.
Still much to go, lots of money to be spent but i've finally begun setting up my mancave.

Like the rest of the house, still a long way to go till it becomes what i i want it to be.
Just two desks with enough space for my stuff at the moment, still have to assemble the display cabinets i bought for the finished models, which are still in the boxes in which they were moved in.
I ended up choosing one of the rooms as the attic was deemed unfit for the purpose in its current status. The floor is unfinished, no insulation on the roof, or in short, it's completely bare. It will take some time and money for it to have reasonable conditions for a modelling room of any sort.
I've set up the desks i had back at my parents house and i've got the one on the right for the research and assembly area and on the left it will be the paint shop. This will be for now, i also want to either build or buy a nice paint booth so i can spray inside the room comfortably with any weather.
All i can say is that i'm hyped that i've got quite a nice space to work in.
I'm planning to get back to work on all my paused builds tomorrow morning. 2 Revell 1/72 F-16s, a Revell 1/72 F-4F Phnatom, a Monogram 1/48 Spitfire Mk IXc and the 1/72 Italeri AH-1T Cobra.
