Not cursed.  It is just that their time has yet to come...

;D

You can say that again... i guess that my Banshee will be waiting for quite a bit, i'm still waiting for the seller's response about my refund on the other canopies...
Gonna remind him of that later today and wait till Monday, if he doesn't reply, i'm opening a refund claim on Ebay.

And now, i have only one kit on the bench, the tiny Gazelle, so i've decided to finally get the Phantom going, even if don't have a pair of slatted horizontal stabs to make it an E variant. I'll just try to modify the Revell kit's stabs and go from there.

So, this will not be a modelling related post... i'm a daddy again... Everyone, say hi to Bob...

This pup is one of 6 that were born around 6/7 weeks ago in the estate where i work. The mom left them behind, and all of us from the staff had to help the babies so they wouldn't starve all alone in the middle of the vineyards. 4 of the 6 pups have been taken in by the staff and the other 2 are still waiting for a new home.
Last Friday i got to work after lunch to find 3 of them almost frying from the heat, under a wood pallet. I called my boss who said he wouldn't take in anymore dogs into the farm but he would help with the most urgent necessities like food and temporary shelter so, i decided to call a few of my colleagues and talk about what we should do. One was taken by my helper and the other one was taken by one of the secretaries.
Bob kind of chose me by coming straight to my lap as soon as i sat by him... i couldn't resist... it's been 4 years since my Boxer, Buda, died from an epilepsy crisis, caused by a brain tumor so, i felt it was time i got over it and brought Bob home with me.
I just fell in love with this rascal and now, i have a much happier home.
Taking care of a pup can be quite a chore, as most of you probably know but, it's worth every second just by seeing him running happy and wild on the lawns and around the house. It has taken a toll on my spare time but i don't care, i'm happy to have him here.
I'll eventually get things organized and he'll be requiring less attention as he grows older so he won't stop me from playing with models but the love he gives me makes it all worth while.
I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow to see if he's all good and give him the obligatory shots and anti-parasite pill, and anything else he needs to grow up a healthy and happy dog.
And yes, he's a mutant, he's got 6 fingers on his rear paws...  :o ;D

Congratulations!
And well done "Six toe" Bob! ;D
There is nothing better in this life, than the unconditional love of a dog!

DogfighterZen

Thanks, guys!
We are a perfect match, he's a bit stubborn as i am but we're getting along really well. He already understands the meaning of the word "No", knows where he's supposed to do his dirty business and he even brought me his food cup in the morning when i woke up because he ate all the food i'd left for the night... i did not teach him that and he's only been away from his mom since Friday... :o
And yes, Major, it's such a good feeling to have the love of a dog, they're totally honest and they'll only be bad if we treat them bad.
He loves to cuddle up between my feet when i'm sitting at the computer, that's where he's sleeping and dreaming right now... i think he's dreaming of running on the lawn... ;D

Our pup brings us her metal food bowl when its empty and drops it on the floor with a loud "bong". She's ringing the dinner bell.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

;D ;D she knows how to really get you attention. And some people say that animals only act according to instinct, that's much more than instinct to me.

Always!!  Puppy time is intense.  ;D   Then you got all the teething to look forward to.

I love dogs. One day when I hit the lottery I buy huge Ranch and hire a bunch of people to take care of all the dogs I bring in.

Yes, very cute.  Take him with you everywhere you go to curry favor in your community.

Eheh intense is a good word to describe it. And he's already teething, always trying to bite something, mostly my fingers and nose...  ;D
I also wish i had a bigger home and paycheck to take care of more but unfortunately, i can only afford to have one right now.
I think i could even rob a bank and getaway with it just by having the pup with me... ;) yesterday at the vet, Bob was the main attraction. Everyone who came in, immediatelly came to pet him and ask questions about him. Especially a few young ladies... ;)

Thanks, Chris! I couldn't just pretend that i didn't know they were there, and once i got my colleagues involved, i was happy to find that they have a good heart and were willing to do something to help the poor pups.
But we still have a couple of females waiting for a family. I've spread the word on Facebook and everyone i know and come across but no one has come forward to take them in. And we can't keep them here much longer cause we already have 2 dogs that my boss accepted here at the estate and he doesn't want more. The problem is that we don't have a proper space to keep them in and the time to properly look after both of them. I just hope we can find a family for both soon cause i don't know what else to do... :-\

Thanks, Chris, all pups have a new home and a family to look after them.

So, after a few weeks of adjusting and getting everything running well in the house with the new pup, i've had a few more bits of time to work on models again. The Gazelle has had quite a bit of clean up on most areas to get rid of all the flash. I've decided to give it a bit more punch with a couple of HOT anti-tank missiles so i had to scratchbuild both pylons. Also glued the MG's pylons on and some of the antennas and added a few bit of rod styrene to the rotor section. Rotor blades are assembled and pilots are almost finished so, not much to go before i glue on the rest of the clear parts to close everything up.

Still haven't started the Phantom but i still wanna build it. It's just been hectic with Bob being a bit wilder than most pups i've had so far. But things are going along just fine with Bob "The Destroyer", who's learning things quickly for a 3 month old pup. He's barking at me as i write this...   ;D
Also, been looking at buying a house, went to visit one that interested me and my lady quite a lot last Saturday, will have a sweet modelling room in the attic if i buy that one but we'll see how that turns out.
