Oh brother... that's a much more serious condition, Ken. I'm holding up ok, the pain is not constant, i just try to push it to a corner of my mind and it's tolerable. Your condition must be much harder to live with than a couple of cracked ribs so i hope it doesn't take much longer for you to heal up.

Actually not that bad. Its just taking longer to get all the way back to normal than I expected. Everyone says knee replacement is much more difficult. At least breathing hasn't been any trouble.
Just take your time and don't reinjure yourself and you'll be better soon!

I will! Yesterday, the Doc said that it's healing up well cause the bones are joined but there's an inflammation on the surrounding muscles so i still have to take pills for that. Anyway, i'm doing well, just the occasional sting in the ribs when i move faster or when i cough so, it shouldn't take too long to get back in shape.
But there's more bad news in my household... had it confirmed by xrays last Sunday, my 9 months old pup has hip dysplasia on both of his hind legs, although the left is worse...
My boxer Buda had that too... i can't stand to se the poor animal in pain so he'll probably need surgery to remove the head of the femur bone so the pain stops but i'll have to see how he holds up as he grows and puts on weight. Very sad for my pup cause it means he'll always have limitations because of this and i have to keep him from running wild with no leash on, i have to control him at all times.
O top of that, Milady is also sick because of her allergies... 
Not a good phase for us at the moment...

Yeah!!!   Maybe with it all hitting at once, the rest of the year (and summer, most importantly) will be less problematic. Here's hoping! All y'all be feelin better soon.

As always, your support is always appreciated,guys. 
It's been almost a month since my last post here and things have improved quite a bit but still waiting to sign the papers for the house because of one damned document... my bank wants the document to be renewed so they can go ahead with the deal, which means that, i still don't know how long it will be till i finally sign the papers and have the keys in my hand.

My life's a bit on hold, although i'm back to work at 50% capacity till the 22nd of the current month. The ribs are mostly healed up, still a bit of pain doing some movements and lifting weight but, at least i'm moving again, which i enjoy much more than just sitting around the house with nothing much to do besides watching stuff on youtube and spending money on models on ebay... i've bought a few models since my accident and i blame it on the fact that i had too much time to browse around. I confess that my mojo has been very low so i didn't do much modelling wise.

Most of these models are helicopters... it's a type of aircraft i like and that i had very little of in my stash but, since i built the Airfix Gazelle, i've been growing more interested about them noisy things...
Above all, i managed to buy a 1/32 Hughes OH-6 Cayuse to convert into the MD-500 which was Blue Thunder's nemesis in the movie. Means i'll have to stick a pair of M230 chain guns on it and modify a few other bits. That way, i'll only need the Bell 206 JetRanger to have all 3 choppers used in the movie but i'm also thinking of a 1/32 F-16 to complete the movie's aircraft collection but i'll have to wait to buy these as i'm done buying models for a while cause i need to save up a bit more for the house furniture and other home appliances.

And to prove that i'm not a completely lazy bum, i've been sporadically doing some work my 1/48 Monogram Spitfire IX. It will be RW but it's to be a part of a RW WWII collection i want to have. The P-40 was the first and i've been considering the idea since i built it and now that i'll have enough space to have big shelves or cabinets to put them on, i'm going to buy the 1/48 birds i'd really like to have in that collection.



Found the cockpit very weak on this kit but not much will be seen anyway as there's only a one piece, clear but thick plastic canopy. Built a gunsight so it wouldn't look so empty.



The fit of this kit is worse than the P-40's but it's still been a fun build so far.



Also found the wheel hubs very weak compared to the real thing so tried to do something to give it a bit more interest, although i know, it's far from perfect but that's the best i could manage.



So, as i'm still in the waiting game, it'll be a while till i get my mojo back up to whifable standards, i hate the bureaucracy that comes with this kind of thing and it just kills my motivation...

I've been told on a couple of occasions that after divorce buying a house is the second most stressful thing that you can do in your life. Having been through both I think it's the most stressful

I hope i don't have to go through both, the house buying is enough as it is... 
Today i received news regarding the document which has been holding the whole process, it's been taken care of and tomorrow should be sent to the bank, so they can schedule the signing of the papers and money transfers. I don't know how long that will take but i'm hoping it can be done by the beginning of June.
I'm really looking forward to having my own house, it'll be a dream come true for me.

I have to really start thinking about which will be the modelling room... or will it be in the garage? or the attic?
All i know is that i'll have all the space i need for a proper working area.
This is what i've got to work with...



What you can't see here is the attic which covers 2 thirds of the the house, meaning the 2 bedrooms on the left(quartos), kitchen(cozinha) and living room(sala comum). The area marked with the B is the back yard which has a small flower bed at the far end that isn't depicted in the drawing but, i'll put up some pics of the real thing after i can call it mine.

Modelling wise, nothing done recently, besides getting the tail planes glued on the Monogram Spitfire... I've been busier buying models than building them but it's thinking of a more productive period after i've settled in my house.
Been on a chopper thing... bought quite a few in the past couple of months and i'm just waiting for the last one, the Revell 1/32 Bell 206 Jet Ranger, to complete the trio of choppers used on the Blue Thunder movie.
As soon as i bought the Monogram Blue Thunder from our esteemed colleague Bungle, i just had to see if i could fulfill my childhood dream of having all of the aircraft used in the movie. As i've managed to buy a 1/32 Hobbycraft OH-6, which i'll convert into an MD 500 model, when i receive the Jet Ranger, i'll have all 3 in the same scale, which is perfect!!
Guess that the only aircraft from the movie missing in my stash will be the 1/32 F-16... but i've had the Tamiya kit in sight for a long time now...

I've been buying more and more 1/48 scale models recently but i'm not changing scales. The fact is that i've wanted some bigger models of the aircraft i really like because of the level of detail. The 1/72 ones are good for limited display space but now, that won't be much of a problem for me for years to come so, i'll spoil myself...

In other news, my regional modelling club has held it's first activity ever last weekend, a small swap/trade meet which had me selling the brand new Tamiya 1/48 WWII Cargo truck i'd won on the ISM live show for 10€ and the poor old, full of sinkholes Heller SAAB J-35 Draken for 5€ to a couple of kids that asked their dad so much that the poor guy had no option but to buy the kits.

Also traded the Revell 1/72 Rafale M for the Italeri 1/72 F-100D with a fellow modeller and bought a 1/48 Revell Bf-109 G10 for 5€ from the same guy.
It was a pretty good turnout of 10/15 modellers showing up and participating and better yet, lots more kids and their parents got their first contact with modelling and enjoyed it. Seems like we'll be having quite a young crew when the next school year begins. Workshops are being planned to help new modellers and a year end show will be held this year in November!

Good news on the house.
I think i'd use the attic but it will get awful hot in the summer if it's not insulated.

Sounds like the club meet went well.  Getting kids into modelling is important as they are natural whiffers.
