It would have been a thorn in the side of the Soviet Union, not the Allies, as Finland only fought against the USSR.

But USSR was one of the major Allies...
This aircraft in this insignia and with DB engines suggest quite a bit of alternative history.
- The use of the roundel means that Finland is not fighting against an Allied nation. So Finland is fighting with the Allies, or not fighting at all. Then, who is USSR fighting with or against?
- Did Finland get continued Allied support 1939-194x, and stick to that side? Much of Finnish leadership wasn't too enthusiastic about siding with Nazi Germany.
- If Finland kept a distance from Germany, where did the DB engines come from?

- 3 cannon forward suggest that either the enemy was different from Real Life, or the aircraft was just delivered from abroad and the wing guns would soon be removed. On Bf 109, wing guns were thought to make the fighter too heavy and sluggish against Soviet enemy aircraft.

My reasoning was not a major deviation from the real world timeline. The Finns used Me-109s during WW2 and after WW2 they kept using them with the roundels instead of the old swastika like insignas. My D23 is meant as a post 1945 aircraft flying with the Finnish Air Force along with their 109s.
