Having seen the floorplans for the show, I'm both confused and angry.  Angry because they've let that money grabbing clueless wockney canker Uncle Albert "Kit Krazy" back in after last year's carry on when he'd blocked the fire exit.  Confused because they've placed him IN THE SAME SODDING POSITION in the plan.  Are the organisers so utterly clueless?  Had last year's alarm been a genuine fire, lives could have been lost due to his carelessness and greed.  In addition, if a fire officer were to see it, the show could be shut down.

Lee it's in a completely different venue so he's not in the same place. Now I've seen the plans as well and yes he's by a loading bay but that may not be a fire exit. I accept it probably is but we don't know. I am surprised he's there after last year but I assume he's on a warning.

Oh and by the way I'm a Cockney as well by your definition.

Lets be honest "uncle Albert" wasnt the whole problem with the fire alarm incident.................................just saying.

Chris thought you were the product of  the union of ex pat Northeners.........................which makes you a son of the North and not a true cockernee.   Cant disagree with the "canker" bit.............. ;D ;D......................but I like you.

You mean that half the Alarms didn't work, not a single fire marshal was on hand to take control or even check to see if an evacuation was being done or not...

Pretty much sums it up

Freightdog862

I'm afraid Freightdog are not attending this year, day job and distance getting in the way. For those who are going have a great show.

Looks like they have transposed the basic layout of the old place onto the new place although they have moved clubs/sigs and traders about !

No my pedigree involves a Sunderland mother and a Croydon father. I was born at home in a place known locally as "Bang 'Ole" which still earns me a lot of respect from those of an older generation as it was reputedly the toughest part of Croydon until they knocked it down in the early 50's as part of the slum clearance, mind you the Luftwaffe and V1's had made a good stat on the project . We lived there until I was 4 so to say I'm a Bang Ole boy is a little naughty  ;D

Now strangely when I was born Croydon was not a London borough but a County Borough in Surrey so I'm also a Kirk's Lamb. Became a London Borough when the LCC became the GLC when I was 10 or so ? There you have a potted history ........and I like you to  ;D ;D

Not a question I would have dreamt of asking either of my parents  They would have had no idea of how to deal with it and probably no idea of the answer either

Anyway I'll be in the Head of Steam about 1:00pm Saturday.......the weekend starts there

Right so people are aware. We have two tables and are situated within the first block on the right as you enter from Hall 2. The block is opposite Collectakit and Coastal Craft and we share it with 580 Modellers, IPMS Birm', Tyneside/Durham and the Luftwaffe SIG.

Now I won't be taking my camera but I will have my new fangled tablet. However I still haven't figured the camera on it and haven't a clue how I get the pics onto a site whereby I can then get them onto here. So I'll be learning on the job  Therefore I'd be gratefull if some others can also take photos to share
