I havent got a very strong back story for this one, but essentially, the universal carrier was modified to actually carry the 8 pdr anti tank gun, this was to speed up setting up the gun, firing, then packing everything away and then move on to the next position, thus reducing the likely hood of getting hit, the Ant tank features a lightly armored, fully enclosed cab to give the two man crew protection from small arms fire. The engine has been turned sideways to make room for the gun mount and cooling is provided by the intake at the rear of the cab. the side panels fold flat to give the crew a platform to operate from.
This is my first armour whiff and the first time ive used the wonder material known as styrene :D

And now for some size comparison....

I like that. The changes to the front end make her look slightly French. Has a Lorraine look about her ? Was that the small two seat AT tractor/utility tractor that had domes for the crews heads ? That one anyway  ;D

The German's did mount 37mm pack guns to captured carriers so not to far out plus some desert ones had captured Italian AT guns/rifles attached, but I think they were 20mm ?

The Renault UE-2? :) I was roughly aiming for a similar layout to the T-20 armoured tractor

That's some nice styrene-bashing.  ;)

Captain Canada

Nice - kind of mini Archer? Could well be a development for airborne landing troops, to be sent with infantry in (Hamilcar) gliders into battle, when fill-fledged tanks would either be too heavy for this way of transport, or just too flimsy (Tetrarch).

Maybe an early form of the ASU-85?

RAFF-35

Yeah, I didn't realise when it said "full size image" that they'd be that big, my bad :D And that is a great idea, for some un-known reason, I'd never considered airborne assault as a use for it before. Do you think jungle warfare, med camp defence and convoy escort would be good roles too?

Just come up with an idea for some whiff propaganda for the Ant too :D its only a rough sketch to show the idea though...
