To be honest, 1/48 B-52 isn't that insane (117 cm span) compared to eg. Monogram's 1/72 B-36 (97 cm), 1/48 B-1B (88 cm), or HK Models' 1/32 B-17 (99 cm), and the latter are all regular injection-moulded kits...

However, due to being resin, Anigrand's 1/72 C-5 (94 cm), Modelsvit's 1/72 An-124 (102 cm), and especially Awfulmodel's 1/72 Spruce Goose (135 cm) are another matter entirely...  ;D

true, ive got 1 and 9/10s of the 1:48 B1 though already   ;D ( one complete one bought to glue, and one with no instructions and Perspex parts to salvage for the war load, that box got me a few jealous and confused looks at the cosford show, when I was schlepping back to the gangs table)
and the 1:48 AC130 fell off the shelves a wile back, so im considering converting that into some wargames scenery, and replacing it at some point, though this time the wings will both be removable and held onto the body with magnets.
and I work in 1:48  so one of the others im looking at is the HpH Concorde  still got to save up for one of those
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

A 1/48 B-52????  :o

I hope you've got some BIG shelves!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Shelves?  I'd have thought you'd need to nail a card table to the wall to hold something that size.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

For the fibre glass kits.  Definitely.

I intend to return to childhood with it, upside-down on the modelling room ceiling

Found this on E-Bay.  Not seen this boxing before.  It's in Portugal but the postage to Aus isn't too bad.  I would have bid on it if it had been the earlier release i'm after but have managed to resist.

I've not seen that before. Nice looking livery
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Good luck on your hunt!! I did me a quick search in my local area eBay and not a one. Found a sheet of them, but no Indian and no pokey thing. Found some in 1/48 but, wrong scale.  ;D

Seems lately I've been trying to get my hands on that Airfix Vickers Valiant. Memory lapsed and forgot to bid on one a couple years ago and it went for $45.....  :banghead:   Woops!! I've been trying to find one ever since for $50 or less. I will not be spending more than $50. I have to draw the line somewhere or I'll be broke!!! So, in short, this makes finding one pretty difficult. Even when they do come to market they are going for more than that. So, yeah, this could be my holy grail? I got my Galaxies so I suppose the Valiant is as good as any.

Oh, I have got that sheet - even though most of it is gone... Went, for instance, on an Indian Navy Yak-38.  ;)

The Indian two seat (Sea) Harriers are arguably the most attractive Harriers ever. Others will disagree...
