Wow...nice one ! That's got me re-thinking my engine, might need some bumps to cover the rockers....we'll see !

Another group shot....I was supposed to finish one and carry on but as usual I get more and more scattered....

The Comet as of last eve. Opened up the cockpit, and fashioned some gun ports. I'm also going to add a pair of underwing guns from the Gladiator kit.

You know you are going to get parts mixed up don't you ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

I have tried already Chris ! Good thing I have the instruction as I had to do a lot of looking to get the cockpit bits into the right aeroplanes lol.

I did some more work on the Comet last night, finished up the under fuselage radiator, and cut some holes to add the exhaust. Thank Dog for the Airfic Spits with all sorts of extra bits.....prob going to go with a three bladed prop. It was originally going to be a two, with a kestrel, but what the heck, hows about a mk.II with a Merlin and a three blade ?

Some of the best Whiffs come from doing exactly that.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Captain Canada

lol too true !

Well, been busy trying to get a few things done today, before we leave for, you guessed it, hockey !

At least I have good help

Shortened up an old Kingfisher float for the Siskin, and used a half round something or other to fashion the rad for the Comet

The makings of the rad with some card inserted. Might doll it up a wee bit more we'll see.

Gondor

Didn't know you had a fur legged friend Captain. Guaranteed to be trouble with a capital Purr, especially if anything is movable from a table as mine always tried to push bits of models off my work table.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

You didn`t know we had kitties ? I love cats ! Our Siamese sisters both passes at 17-18 years of age these past 2 years, so we got Winnie ( a grey tabby/ Siamese mix, she's crossed eyed with a kinked tail and thumbs ) and this summer we got Bessie, named after a dairy cow

Very cute helper! What a face!

That's a shame you've decided on a twin Spit, I thought a twin Hurri could be fun...

Now you tell me !  But I've always wanted fly a twin Spit around the house, so a twin Hurri might be in the cards as well.

:thumbsup:Ya she's a cute little bugger her. Lots of un too. She's having a blast with her new sister, who never got much interaction with the older cats when we got her.

So, for some reason or another, I thought I already had a pair of Bf110s. I think I'm confusing my time at my LHS with my time in my own styrene cave

Anyway, picked one up today and the idea is a single engine ( nose mounted, sorry Tophe ) example. Possibly use a Stuka nose. I have to do a bit of research into power etc. I'm thinking dive bomber for this one as well. Suggestions ?

Jumo from a Ju-88?
Slightly later, but the DB from an Me-210/410?

Captain Canada

Started on the 110, or whatever it's going to be called....hacked off the engine nacelles and started adding some card.

Also a good start on the twin-Spit. Not sure about the tail feathers....original on both ? Straight across like the P-82 ? Straight across and then the originals ? Love Spifire tails and don't want to lose their look !
