Captain Canada

So, kids are off to school. Wife has day off so we have a few things to get done around the house, but tomorrow ? Well, tomorrow ( and from then on ) I'm all alone ! I'm going to start with Geoff's idea, and build a RW or two before the actual build. Probably a mk.1 Spit and Hurri.

Ideas ? Lots. Too many.

-Bf.109 as a Defiant type
-Twin Spitfire of some sort
-Biplane like a Wildebeast or Fairey Fox for coastal patrol/ minelaying etc.
-Harvard as a makeshift defender, either turreted or with gun pods
-B-17C, twin Merlins, 48th scale Spitfire outer wings, as a Supermarine type.
-Bf.110 with a refined single seat cockpit
-Gigant on UK soil unloading broken down 109s and equipment to increase range.

Too many ( so many ) options !

I don't see any Harriers on that list...

A 109 as a Defiant type sounds intriguing. The German's could have followed the RAF down the old WWI 2 place fighter path as a insurance just in case the idea was still valid in 1938 I suppose. I say build it Capt
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

Cheers Chris and thanks for the info into it's validity !

:banghead: Didn't notice i was posting on the GB thread... I'm sorry for the slight thread deviation and, any dilemmas that my out-of-place suggestion for you to work on some of your harriers may have caused...  ;D

Nice ! Yes, just like that, only more Supermarine-ish. Or Boeing ! I guess it wouldn't really matter eh ? Is it the 15th yet ?

Grafting a Defiant turret onto an Me-109 would NOT be an easy task!  :o

That Defiant rear fuselage is remarkably wide and an Me-109 is pretty narrow.

(Don't ask me how I know this................... :banghead:)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

1/72 Bf 110 fuselage with 1/48 Bf 109 wings perhaps?

Or a trimotor?  1/48 109 fuselage, 110 wings. ;D
