Just scatter a few RLM numbers about in the descriptive text and everyone will assume you know what you're on about, no worries.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

A friend of mine of German descent drew a pic of a dog when we were younger, and I told him it looked like the dog was taking a crap. He got mad, as he usually did. So after he left I drew eyebrows and sweat and made the dog look strained as if he were 'pinching a loaf' with a wee pile behind his behind. I wrote 'Dumpin Meine Klumpen' on it. Next time he was over he wasn't impressed, but we ended up having a good laugh. The pic hung on our apartment wall for years....lost when we moved out.

I studied German for one year at school.  I have a terrible memory for languages (plus the teacher wasn't as cute as the French teacher who's top we used to look down) but still remember snippets such as Lumpi ist mein hund.

Did some PSR today.  Managed to snap off both ariels I had been so carefull to retain this far.  Oh well.
I glued on the belly radiator scoop - backwards because it looked better that way plus the fit was better.
Once the glue dries its more primer, a touch of rescribing and then the painting will commence.

i've been doing some research into RLM colours in model paint.

Wooooeeeeeeee what a can of worms.
It strikes me that there are a lot of people getting their knickers in a twist over something that in the grand scheme of things is irrelevant.

Exactly. And that goes for so much in scale modelling eh ?

The aeroplane is looking great ! Really coming along eh ? well, apart from the aerials parting ways with her

The Factory Stock car modellers can be just as bad.  Some of the arguments that have erupted over which shade is correct for which year, what options were offered and in what colour...
For some reason its usually Mopar guys.  People just don't seem to get as worked up over Ford or Chevy details.

In the end it's just a hobby which to me means it has to be fun (something one does to relax).  I don't have fun or feel relaxed if i'm stressing over details or involved in an argument over the interweb.  But to each his own.

This looking at RLM colours HAS given me an idea for another Whif for the GB - an absolutely box stock Bf 109 painted exactly as per the instruction sheet but with one colour changed...

Whatever.  Today I sanded down the extra filler I added yesterday to reshape the nose I had filed too flat during an over enthusiastic PSR session.
I then primed it again.

Tell me about it ! I've heard some amazing discussions about colour at shows and not always Luftwaffe ones  :banghead: Should see their faces when I just sidle past and opine "we all see colours differently lads, chill out"
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
