Albion tank Mk.i

Hi all, here's my latest creation, the Albion tank. The Albion is the result of Britain deciding that a light tank would be a beneficial addition to the fleet of landships already seeing action. The chassis is based on a licensed copy of the Renault FT-17. The hull features a prone driving position as this reduces the frontal cross section and should therefore make for a harder target to hit. The turret is armed with a Vickers machine gun, secondary armament is a single Hotchkiss light machine gun. Top speed was 5MPH.



The base kit was a 1:72 Hat FT-17 to build the Albion in 1:76



And the styrene bashing and miliputing begins,



















Unfortunately, the weathering doesnt really show up too well in the photos,

Nice little tank ! You sure did change the look of it eh ! Love the new gun as well, Looks great.

I like that....a lot 

It's a shame Donald Duck (my hero  ) hadn't yet been invented. With that shape it's simply screaming out for a DD cartoon on the turret. I can see any remaining in the 30's being referred to as "Donald's". Just looks duck like to me

Hahaha, I can see the resemblance, you're not going mad  should I be vane and nominate it for the Whiffies?  not sure if there is a WW1 category as of yet
