Found another old kit in the stash, which could get reworked as a Royal Navy bird, maybe a spotter. Possible name: Petrel  According to the history I read, there was some thought to trying it as an emergency light bomber, and tests were even conducted. The power just wasn't there for it to be very effective in my opinion, but it does open up possibilities.

I'm getting quite familiar with this guy --->  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I did a Google search for 'petrel aircraft' and that didn't come up. Truth be told, I had a nagging feeling that the name had been around, but didn't look hard enough obviously. Retires to thinking chair.

Now that the Skua is done, time to get going on this one. Wavering between a target tug, or a Royal Navy medevac. I'm thinking it could operate off a carrier.

Okay, going with the target tug variant. First thing, construct a pylon to hold the prop that drives the winch:

Next, make the prop! Extremely tiny, and took a bit of swearing. Fortunately, the propellers used on a lot of the winch designs were very simple slabs, so that made accuracy a bit easier:

Painting has commenced, it will be the all-over yellow and black.
