Having completed the Comet PR (http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,41181.msg708768.html#msg708768) it's back to the 109 and Hurricane.  Focus is on the 109 (then the Hurricane), which has been masked up and is undergoing painting:

Inching closer to completion - model is at that irksome, annoying (to me) unfinished stage when everything looks bad and the unnatural glossy finish shows up every imperfection.  Still some more painting to be done before the markings can be applied and much needed matting can take place.  then all hands to the pump to get the Hurricane finished.

Some tidying up and decalling done, still plenty to do but getting there:

Markings are from the Revell MC.200, inspired by the Italian option in the Airfix Bf109G-6  kit (A02029).  Can't wait to get the tidying finished and the whole thing matted down!

One decal to go plus matting, painting the prop spinner/guns/intake and a bit of weathering.  I think I can meet the deadline.

Looks right  Built a couple of early Italian 109's myself and for some reason they suit Italian markings better for some reason
