We are in Hall 3 and why is that the halls bad news?

Nothing it just means Wooksta has a longer walk to go hunting round his favourite 2nd hand kit trader

Generally more exercise for us all!

In a quandary.  Don't really need any new kits (big difference between 'need' and 'want'!), but SO tempted to get an SBS Comet.  Seem a lot to pay (even with 10% off for a pre-show purchase from Hannants) for a small model, but it does look a beauty.

I generally browse the Kitswap, Collectakit and some of the other 2nd hand stalls for bargains.  I do want to get a Freightdog VG Lightning conversion so another Airfix Lightning appears in order.

We are 5.

JayBee

Talked to Martin about that yesterday in the Glasgow show.
He is aware, and you are included, do not worry.

Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

So, Chris Gibson and I will be there Saturday and Sunday, but Saturday is likely to be mostly taken up with author/publisher networking and catchup stuff apparently and Sunday is more chilled with time to 'hang out'. I will be signing copies of my book at The Aviation Bookshop stand (http://www.aviation-bookshop.com/hub.htm). I believe they will only have 50 copies or so so probably pays to be quick :)

Better start saving, you will need a ton of cash for the stash additions :)
I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

For the Airfix 'Red Box' mini-theme do we use the entire box top so the model will be standing on a 'platform', or should we cut the lid out so the model sits flat on the table?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Id say just keep it flat Kit. then every thing is on the same level and less likely to cause arguments about whos is on a higher level or not.

Yup Lee's original suggestion was just the cut out box lid
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

I wanted waffles and noodle-doodles, but no, everyone else wanted Salmon!

I have a cunning plan to try and get round the two models rule.

BTW, is there a "wants/sales" thread this year?
