My new X Wing I started the same time to build but held me by the modifications in limits and only improved small details.
It must to be ready in 14 days, for an exhibition in Berlin where a lot of children comes. My changes concerned the cockpit some details on the fuselage and on the wings where I had a lot of spatulas. Fits unfortunately still not 100%.

And the wings in X position to make it clear, the kit is designed as a toy. This massive change will save me at the building but. And the overall fit was unfortunately again not so good.

Gorgeous print ! And great job on the model so far....you are really doing it up nice ! I think a trip to Toys R Us is in the cards today.....

Update,
Adding last details, next step are the painting.

Rick Lowe

Nice work!

It seems they've gone back to the original artwork with regard to the intakes; one big circular pattern when the wings are folded, rather that the first trilogy's studio models with complete circular units for each engine.

Cheers

Very nice upgrade and detailing of this toy looking kit.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

Excellent work. For sue you have turned this from a toy to a true miniature replica. Great stuff.

I think this is fantastic! great work with the extra detailing - it really looks the business and really moves it away from being a toy

Would you consider lighting it? More over, is there enough room in there to have wiring etc? Actually - that last question is a bit redundant considering you can use SMD's so space isn't really a problem these days...

BTW - It's nice to see a thread about a Star Wars subject without the usual "Revell Bashing" for a change

zenrat

Looking good.  I'd be tempted to clear and weather the primer and leave it at that.
However, i'm sure it's going to look even betterer when its painted.

Fred

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
