This is a conversion of the Zvezda -8i to an -8f. I had a decal making friend create these decals for QANTAS Freight. QANTAS was to get a 747-400F but they decided against it due to a downturn in the global freight market.

The conversion involved shortening the upper deck hump.

Just as I was finishing this one up Revell decided to issue a kit of the 747-8f (which I also have now :D).

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Wow ! Is that ever. Looks like a display model from the Airline itself ! Love the look of the end product. I want to pick it up and fly it around the room !

Well done. Filling in windows is a very tedious chore- for me anyway.

The funny thing is the kit comes with clear inserts for the cabin windows. I managed to forget about them and filled the windows with epoxy. Would have been much easier to use what was in the kit.

I am now building one in passenger config and have remembered to use the inserts.
