Is the hole an oil filler cap....?  Where's the Wooksta when you need him....?

Yup I'm sure that's what it is. Or at least that's what the stencil in 1 of my 1/72 kits says

it's pretty recessed...should I leave it as it is or perhaps fill it with putty and scribe around it to represent the filler cap??

Al, even in 1/72 most kits represent it as a fairly well recessed circle, so I'd leave it

photos when I have a moment free to take them, but the colour scheme is stone and dark blue upper with azure blue lower...I figured that while on the aircraft carrier someone might have suggested blue instead of the dark earth or perhaps the blue paint, maybe car paint, was slapped on after landing at Malta....anyway, that's my story

Allan

Here she is finished short of because I don't have the 1/48 decal for the fus serial number.

Only 230 days to go and that table cloth will be appropriate.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Allan

thanks all....the correct 1/48 serial number for Beurling's plane will turn up one day and then I'll apply it

Inside the cover of the book 'Hero- The Buzz Beurling Story' he flew mostly one aircraft although no pilot was ever assigned one particular plane when in Malta. The Mk.Vc Beurling flew off HMS Eagle had the serial BR380, the Mk.Vc he flew most had the serial BR135. His Sqn. code for that plane was T Z
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

a fascinating pilot, Beuring, and there are two pages of unforgettable prose about him in the biography of Ginger Lacey called "Fighter Pilot"
