I think you are more excited than he is ?  ;D

Enjoy the show and I'll be in touch re the books next week
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Well I've got standing in for OGL down to a tee, so now I'm working on my EKFG impression....

Yes, the new venue is a bit cramped for the model show compared to the previous one: perhaps they'll be able to make improvements next year with more experience of it. It's a bonus for any rail/transport-minded modellers though (Kit.... ;) ) since the Crewe Heritage Centre is primarily a railway heritage centre with, amongst other things, one of the surviving APTs.

Got a handful of bargains myself, and sold what might be a record number of kits too: either the people of Crewe are unusually generous or the economy really is starting to pick up...

I've pictures, which I'll put up shortly, 'shortly' being a highly negotiable unit of measure....

I will echo Harold ref the venue. This year was very much "a new venue learning curve".
Its lighting leaves a lot to be desired for a model show. But wasnt a major issue untill a short 15-20 mins powercut around mid afternoon, that we later found out via Hank's wife had effected the whole of the local area.

The catering was a bit off as well. Not on quality, that was rather good. But there where only three people handling the catering, and only one of those serving at any one time. So there was quite a large que for most of the time.

All in all it was a good day. Quirky new venue, good company and lots of interaction with the public. None of which seemed negative.

I took a few photos, they can be seen here
I always hope for the best.
