Esteemed fellows of the Noble Society of Speculative Scale Replica Construction, allow me to present the Blaster Carbine!

After three coats of flat black undercoat, I hit the gun with drybrushes of Vallejo Gunmetal Metal (Valejo's extremely imaginatively named equivilent to Citadel Boltgun metal) and chainmail silver. Details picked out with Gunmetal Metal, Chainmail Silver and Bright Bronze.

The adjusty nut thing is an actual nutty thing. It doesn't turn because the only drill bit I had made a hole which it just sloshed about in, so I had to glue it in.

Behold the muzzle, made from a toy truck wheel and a hose adaptor screwy bit. Also many windshield wipers.

I need to hit the whole thing with varnish, and plan to use gloss varnish on the grips for a more wooden look. The paint scrapes off the trigger when it's pulled, but I'm going to ignore that and cover it with my finger when posing.

Stock made from foam and painted black.

Foregrip, also made from foam and held on with screws. I didn't have the right sized drill bit, so I had to use the closes I had, and then expand the holes with a needle file. The tip of which I snapped. Twice.

And now, the part you've been waiting for... photos of Milky.

That's a splendid paint job - really looks the part.

Good job on stunning the cat: they're not to be trusted, you nkow....

Most excellent ! Love the look, the realism ! Hard to believe that came from all those bits you showed at first. And of course, the cat pics are always appreciated
CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

That looks really good and I can see it fooling the local bobby sufficiently to cause a few problems
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The origins of the parts are obvious when you point them out but as a whole it is truly awesome and I am indeed in awe of your building ability and your painting ability.

Re. the photos though.  I have a history regarding cats and water pistols.  Lets just say that if i'm holding a loaded agua gun they don't walk away from me with their tail in the air twice...

The water pistol gubbins are all still in there. But the barrel us blocked off, so you couldn't really use it as a water pistol any more...

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yeah, I think you missed a trick there PW.
Not for squirting your wonderfully fluffy cat but for squirting fellow cosplayers with the beverage of your choice.

If its carbonated you can shake the pistol and get a little more range......

So UN-block it......  ;D ;)
Harder than it sounds... the water pistol barrels end about 15cm short of the end of the outer barrel, and the fancy looking barrel tip part has a solid backing to it. Maybe next time I will think of this.
