the june issue of model rail   ( hi Kit,  its got a couple of mentions of you in the ATP review)
I intend to read the none rail specific bits and thieve anything interesting

Yeah, it's a bit embarrassing really, all five of the railway modelling mags this month feature the Rapido APT-E model and most of them mention me, one saying I'm '....the well known Kit Spackman....'  ;D

To add further to it I'll be doing some more television filming for the Beeb on Friday up at Crewe. It's getting pretty busy one way or another.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

they mention that the track is the speed record one, so you hear the mile posts being called the speed announced, and then you
and I admit it does look like a cracking model, shame that there all sold, but I admit the price did make me rather squeak with alarm.
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

It's me in the cab on the cover.  ;D

And no, I'm NOT driving it, as it was standing still at the time, despite what BR would have you believe back then.  ;)

I spent some time talking to David Clough about the train for the new book, but I suspect his book will major on the managerial and political aspects of the project, rather than the engineering side.

I too have discovered MANY titles I ignored! Thanks, Jon!
The one I regret selling looong ago is The german giants, a beautiful big size book.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

loupgarou

ADDENDUM: did a quick Amazon search and found some titles you missed:

European transport aircraft since 1910   Stroud
The German Fighter Since 1915   Kosin
Russian Aircraft Since 1940   Alexander
Jetliners in Service Since 1952   Stroud
Soviet aircraft and aviation   Andersson Lennart
British Flight Testing: Martlesham Heath, 1920-39   Mason
BRITISH AVIATION THE ADVENTURING YEARS   Penrose
Aeroflot: Soviet Air Transport Since 1923   Macdonald

NOTE:
British bombers exists in a 1974 edition by Lewis and 1994 by Mason
German giants: first edition in large size, later ones in standard small size, don't think would do justice to the planes
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.
