This mornings post brought my delivery from Amazon - British Secret Projects 5 - Britain's Space Shuttle

Same: mine arrived this morning. I'm impressed by the quantity of new illustrations commissioned for it.

Likewise.
Except they sent two copies for some reason. Ive checked and they have charged me for both, so one will be going back.

Or you can sell your extra copy to me. I want the book, thought I'd look for it at Telford.

Sorted then. ;D
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Picked up a [very] old copy of John Clive's Barossa from the 2nd hand books by the National Theatre in London last week - it cost £2, which is 5p more than the recommended new price on the back ;D

The Apollo Story, BBC Sky at Night bookazine.  I wasn't impressed with the text, but it was worth it for some lesser seen pictures.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Nick

I picked up quite a few books both at SMW and while exploring along the Welsh Borders -

Somme Mud (The Experiences of an Infantryman in France 1916-1918) - Lynch
Escape to Freedom - Tony Johnson
Duel of Eagles - Peter Townsend (The Battle of Britain)

The Pacific - Hugh Ambrose
The Wild Blue (The Novel of the USAF!) - Boyne and Thompson

An English Affair (Sex, Class and Power in the Age of Profumo) - Davenport Hines.
X Platoon (How to become a Pathfinder in the Paras) - Heaney and Lewis

Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops - Jen Campbell  ;D
Do you stock Nigella Lawson under Sex or Cookery?
Who wrote the Bible?
Did Anne Frank write a sequel?
Do you have any books in this shade of green to match this wrapping paper?
   :o

The one on the left is a favourite I've only read in eBook format, the one on the right I'm really excited to read.

What Hugh Mills DOESN'T know about flying the Loach could be hidden under one thumbnail. I heard him talk at an event in Minneapolis some years ago and he was mesmerising.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Looks like we have similar tastes in books Jon.  I could see all those on my shelves.

The Dazzle book in particular.  I was actually looking at that on a website and thinking about adding it to my "want" list for xmas.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

River gunboats looks particularly interesting.

Recently been reading a book on the WWI Mesopotamian campaign and was surprised at the calibre of gun some of the boats carried.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I wanted River gunboats too, but it's still a long way off: Published:July 15, 2017 according to amazon AND your site.  :-\
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Yep, not the first time I've pre-ordered a book from the NIP when it was on-sale at a good price,
I've always received them without delay once published.
You can buy with confidence.
