If I understand their adverts correctly then you can order some of the out of print editions and they will print it for you. Obviously only works for those that were compiled electronically rather than hot metal ones
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

March's Airfix Mag, which should have been re-titled 'Airfix big scale magazine' as there's not a single 1/72 scale build in there, it's all 1/48, 1/32 or 1/35.  :banghead: :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Gondor

Received from ebay this morning

Warpaint number 6 (brand spanking new)

Avro Shackleton

Some of the images appear a bit on the dark side but useful to have all the info in one handy booklet rather than having to dig through piles of magazines to find the one I want when I get around to building one of my Shackleton's.

Just finished David Cesarani's latest, "Final Solution". Also Martin Winstone's "Dark Heart...". Superb reading for anyone interested in such a destructive chapter in Europe's history.

Before those I worked my way through Tom Rob Smith's sequels to "Child44"...very much recommended; reread a few of Martin Cruz Smith's Arkady Renko books...can't get enough Cold War fiction these days.

Just for a laugh I reread "Porterhouse Blue"; forgotten how influential it was to Pratchett's Unseen University faculty ;D.

Yesterday morning Sam surprised me with Spitfire: The Memorabilia Collection, a nice book on you-know-what populated with photos from Getty Images. I haven't read it yet but already saw some cringeworthy caption errors - the underside of a TR.IX named as a Mk.V, a lovely shot of a Spiteful as a Spitfire Mk.II?! - and the usual myths being repeated (Mutt Summers' post-first-flight comment "don't touch a thing" not being elaborated on), and a few photos published at rather low resolution, but I'm still grateful to add it to the collection.

Away from aviation, as related earlier I bought the book Star Wars: Aftermath around the beginning of the year, and it's opened the floodgates. Arrived a couple of days ago from one online auction seller:
Tales From The Mos Eisley Cantina
Tales Of The Bounty Hunters
Tales From Jabba's Palace
Shadows Of The Empire
The Mandalorian Armour
Slave Ship
Hard Merchandise

Much to my fiancee's chagrin - she is NOT a fan of him - four of them feature Boba Fett in the cover art

The "Tales" books are very good...haven't read them for years but remember thoroughly enjoying them.

Gondor

Received today

Dragon's Wings: Chinese Fighter and Bomber Aircraft development by Andreas Rupprecht and printed by Ian Allen

After a quick skim through the book it looks as if it is chock full of interesting aircraft, lots of which I had no idea about.

I also received

Modern Combat Ships 1: 'Leander Class' which is just as well considering how many Thorvic has sent me.

Two more additions to the library. both recommendations by forum members.

Royal Navy Frigates Since Second Edition 1945 by Leo Marriott. Recommended to me by Thorvic. I am going to wait a while before reading this book so I am not reading anything else at the time. Might attempt to make a flow chart to follow all the developments and modifications and rebuilds that happened in an attempt to try and follow what went on in real life so I can then whiff something afterwards.

Fairly Rotodyne by David Gibbings. Recommended by PR19Kit in a discussion in another thread. This was actually my second attempt at buying the book. The first retailer has very poor stock control procedures and had marked the book as dispatched when they were actually out of stock  Needless to say I sent them a rather strongly worded email in reply to their attempted apology. On the plus side, I reordered the book and found when I opened the book on receipt that I had bought direct from the Author!  :o
Not only has Eur Ing David Gibbings MBE, FRAeS put a dedication inside the cover to me, he has included a hand written note and a photograph of the first Rotodyne that he flew in. I shall be sending him a reply, hand written of course to show my appreciation.

The trio of Leo Marriott Royal Navy books are quite handy as they cover each class since 1945, give the data for the class and details of each ship plus a nice selection of Photo's and drawings. It also covers a few of the cancelled projects and the commonwealth versions of certain classes. I found them invaluable back in the 80's when they came out and I was doing Ship Modelling, it was the CVA-01 drawing in the Aircraft Carrier volume that got me hooked on the type, together with the Chesneau's Aircraft Carriers of the World
