After a few months of model buying addiction rehab, last night i blew it and ordered another Hasegawa 1/72 F-16I SUFA, which will be donating most of it's parts to the LoneStar resin parts F-16XL#2, and one of the Tamiya Vipers will be getting the SUFA specific bits.
And also got confirmation from Bigcat.pt that another 1/72 Sufa is on the way but i'll have to wait a bit for this one as the store didn't have it in stock. Still, will be 5 euros cheaper than anywhere else on the web. And BTW, the Hase kit at 30€ from Tokyo-Hobby was at least 3€ cheaper than all the Kinetic ones i found on the bay.

Well, seems that i'm getting a refund from Tokyo-hobby on ebay, the Hasegawa Sufa hasn't been delivered yet... :banghead: Last time i bought from them, the kit did take longer than expected to arrive but it got here... it's been a full month from the end of the estimated delivery schedule, still, i'm waiting a bit longer, maybe the Portuguese mail services are clogged up... I hate having to ask for a refund!
The folks at Tokyo-hobby are very understanding, they're trying to look up info on the whereabouts of the package but since it wasn't tracked, doubt they can find it... :banghead: Next time i order something from the bay, it's gonna be tracked, i don't care if i pay more, at least the orders are delivered to my house with no problems.
OTOH, today at 9.30a.m. got a call from the express courier asking if i was at home to receive the Kinetic Sufa, which i could've received at the beginning of the month but problems with my car's battery and anual insurance payment meant money had to be redirected...
Anyway, if the Hase Sufa doesn't turn up, the refund money will be used on something else, i've recently updated my "to-buy" list...

Another ebay purchase arrived today

1 x 1/72 Airfix BAe Systems Hawk. That makes a total of five Airfix and one Hasegawa kit of the 100 series Hawks. I have fears this might get a little out of hand but thankfully not as bad as Lee with is Spitfires.

I recommend lists. Post-Its are also handy when you stack kits, with plans, but without a good memory...

From Starling Models the new 1/700 HMS Hermes and the British Carrier aircraft set 1. It's Hermes the first purpose built Aircraft Carrier as she was when sunk by Japanese Dive Bombers off Ceylon  in 1942 so got the airgroup set to add Fulmar and Sea Hurricane as kit only has the swordfish as per when she was sunk (her fighter element being ashore to defend Ceylon).

The kit and the aircraft are superb the best 1/700  injection moulded kits available and now looking forward to their  rumoured Illustrious class that they have dropped clues for.  ;)

The Wooksta!

An Eduard 72 Spitfire mk IX "Royal Combo" off ebay - 50 notes seems quite reasonable for 4 kits.

Plus a Pegasus Spiteful F.14 (second tooling)

Just shot an ACE Grumman Guardian (Firefighter version) on ev!lbay. No real plan so far, but for EUR 9,- it is a steal.
Maybe Canadian Navy colors? Or a bright Firefighter version, nevertheless...  ;)

Today arrived my order from Models Ua, 1/72nd scale Amodel Beriev Be-10 Mallow, Armory 1/72nd scale UPAZ-M refueling pod to fit to the SU-24 M, Master 1/72, SU-7 fitter A pitot tubes and 30 mm gun barrels. The mallow is very nice, can't see any flash and is very well detailed. Not sure if this will go under the knife, and have its own landing gear built into the hull, but will be an anti shipping patrol aircraft for the Cartel, and will work along side their Be-6's. The refueling pod will go on something large other than an SU-24, The gun barrels and pitot tubes might just go on what they are supposed to, you never know.

Rec'd a big(ish) box of old dusty kits yest. Boxes rough and one was pretty obliterated. In good enough condition to keep, though.  These have been stored in some musty area for decades probably. Still, so far I've looked at All but 3 and no missing parts yet... (I got distracted looking at whifs here and put the models down for a bit LOL  )

I learned something and ALSO have nice news to report in that I learned that "F-84" could be the name of very different looking jets. I had no idea! Or at least they look quite different to me.

The good news I mentioned: the ThunderbirdStreak one has decals that are pretty much ruined and the Thunderjet had no decals... so....might have another whif or two builds in the future to show you all. ;)

Anyway.. also, it came with this, and certainly appears to be complete:

A Beechcraft Bonanza by Arii
A sealed Hasegawa Mig 21
And finally. a Testors GMC 21/2 Ton Truck (WWII era) with the worst shape box I've ever seen.. it's basically dust and if I don't sell the kit off only very little will be saved.

My favorite??? I think the U2! Nothing I ever planned on getting but I couldn't let it go at the price. Also kind of stoked about the little beechcraft, I've been wanting to get into civil stuff for a while now and haven't been able to until now.

Cheers!!
