The Wooksta!

Another ebay win, and all in the same package:

2 Millenium tooling MPM Spitfire PR19s
1 Kopro Spitfire mk IX (tbh, useless as even spares, given the volume and quality in AZ and Eduard kits)
1 "Uknown" bagged Spitfire mk IX (however, my experienced eye recognised it as the newish tool Airfix mk IXc)

Finally bought somat....Stopped at Dean's in Ossawa, MI and came out with a Fujimi TA-4F ! Never seen or heard of it so pretty excited to open the box.

EDIT : Aw man it's 48th scale !  :banghead:

What's wrong with 1/48th scale? Hmmm?

It's not 1/72 scale, simples..............  ;D

Except that that's what's right with it!

Has anyone done a 2 seat A-4 in 1/72?
Hasegawa has TA-4J and OA-4M and Italeri also has OA-4M in One True Scale™:

EDIT: Wait, Fujimi also has TA-4F/J and OA-4M kits in 1:72!

I've got the Hasegawa and Fujimi TA-4s and the Italeri OA-4M. They're all pretty decent. The Hasegawa one is particularly useful since it has lots of extra bits in it, including a single-seater bulged spine and various stores.

I'm about to bid on a Hasegawa TA-4J on Evil-Bay.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

An impulse buy, no idea why ? Was in WH Smiths' Modelzone franchise and they had a sole Airfix Lightning F6 in stock, so I bought it  ;D. I don't think I've ever built a Lightning, if I did it would have been the old Hasegawa/Frog one back in the 60's ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Received today but purchased only a day or so ago on ebay

Home Bargains Hereford today sold me a Lindberg  X3 Stiletto 1/48 scale and the Me163 double pack in 1/72.

The X3 may become a 1/48 Miles M76 high supersonic test aircraft....the one that followed on from the M52..............or perhaps a 1/144 passenger aircraft.............or even a British answer to the space shuttle.

The Me163s will perhaps be 1946 "AIRMIN" aircraft on display at Farnborough, or raspberry ripple, or Italian Fascist air force in 1943, or Luftwaffe markings with hastily overpainted US or Russian or ???????????????  ID

Or perhaps they will be something else entirely!!

I have built a few of the Italeri OA-4m's for both the US navy/marines, and done a couple for the Honduras air force. The y are nice kits to build too. I also have sat in the stash two different versions of the Fujimi TA-4, not sure what mark/version they are, but they are also going to be Honduran.I have a soft spot for the little fella as they can sure punch above their weight in a scrap.

More Lindbergs from the £2 sale:

2 x Sdkfz.7 halftracks with quad 20mm AAA - changed my mind on these since although the moulding's awful for accuracy, they'd make good-looking sci-fi/fictional weapons

2 x Vought Kingfishers - floats for the float box, the advantage in this case being that the kit can be built with the wheeled undercarriage too.

Just bought a pair of Tamiya 1/700 HMS Rodney's to go with the one I bought today, why because they will be used to complete the 1/700 G3 Invincible class 1921 Battlecruiser and the N3 St Andrew 1921 Battleship hulls I have also acquired

What scale is the Lindberg Snark? Pretty large as I recall.....
