The F-14 and F-15 are going to be fairly straightforward whifs that won't take much time or extra effort...;)

Never mind the Be.2 look at the box art on those two ! Makes me want to build them both

Picked up the old Testors 1/48 scale MiG-37B Ferret-E model kit in the vendor area at the IPMS Butch O'Hare Model Show in Illinois for $15 a week ago. ;)
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

I was in the city on Friday so dropped into a couple of Hobby Shops.
From Metro Hobbies i came away with a Revel 1/72 Twotter (Canadian/Civilian scheme - they also had the Swiss boxing for the same price), some paints and another pack of Gundam add on parts which will provide useful whiting parts like jet nozzles.

From Hearns Hobbies i got a shock when I saw they wanted $73 for a 1/24 Revell Ford Model A Coupe.  That's highway robbery.  I can get one shipped from the US by priority mail for that money.
Needless to say I didn't buy it.

^Speaking of such matters, I'll keep my eyes peeled locally for one of those and if the price is right I'll let you know about it. I presume there are more floating around here than in Oz?

New from japan.

Willie got that one at Telford.  Didn't like the shape so I passed on it.  Was very happy with the one I did get (see upthread).  Just need to scratchbuild some Federation Pursuit ships to go with it.

Thanks.  This was the first one I have seen in the flesh.  It's a new tooling which seems very popular.

Just a cursory glance at the U.S. Ebay ... I found one for $50 U.S., free shipping from Japan. (probably still too much, if you ask me, but I'm a cheap $#$%#$%, but still, I thought Id at least share!) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-30-Ford-Model-A-coupe-Plastic-model-kit-America-Revell-/142171191444?hash=item211a103894:g:JRIAAOSwx2dYHfPW   (beats ol boy's offering)

I'll still keep my eyes peeled for one cheaper. They might even have one or two at Hobby Lobby here in Lawton.

Thanks Brad.  I've found one for $US46 inc postage at an online store but they are out of stock at the moment.

As heretical as I find your initial statement, I agree they have nice box art. Both are very simple, very cheap (NZ$5.99 each) kits - perfect for what I have in mind.
