From the LHS:

Novo Fokker "Southern Cross" - thinking an impressed machine in Iraq used against Rashid Ali's rabble.

2 Xtradecal sheets - 74 Sqn (ordered in error by Frank but the Gauntlet markings are ideal for a Gloster F5/34) and RAF Hunters.  I wanted the latter to finish my Swift F7 but the "Black Arrows" option would look good on my planned P.1083 T-bird.

Revell 1/72 AB.212/ UH-1N
Chris.

2018 EKFP Total = 3

The Wooksta!

Too much to list from the smash and grab raids on several traders at 'uddersfield.  However, some of the highlights:

Two Maintrack BAC Lightnings - F1 and F2 - for a fiver apiece
A Testors Swift which upon opening actually contained a complete Magna Swift F7 (Weaver got the misiles from it as I detest the Fireflashes), the fuselage of a CMR Swift, and several Airkit Swift conversions/upgrades - two FR5 and at least three F1 intakes.
An Aviation USK Rogarski...  That Yugoslav Hurricane lookalike, you know the one I mean.
Matchbox Canberra PR9, which will either get a PRU Blue paint scheme or the Freightdog P12 conversion.
Many, many Spitfires, some containing extra kits and bits.  The Xtrakit mk XII being a case in point, containing the kit, a Modelnews mk XII, a complete Brigade mk XII conversion plus bits of a second and three resin early Griffon engines.  One turned out to be that unknown white metal one assembled, filled with milliput and used to cast the resin jobs.

All in all, well worth the candle.

Well then, that must've been a rather pleasant surprise! Great score!

Didn't intend to spend much at Hudderfield, and relative to what I got for it, I didn't (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

There was a stall with boxes and boxes of 'the good, the bad and the ugly' kits going for £3 each or four for a tenner. There was also a stall selling off an enormous book collection for a widow at £3-£6 each, and near closing time, one of the traders who also had a box of 'imperfects' was accepting all reasonable offers, so:

Models, all an average £2.50 each and all 1/72nd unless otherwise stated:

Dragon Do 335B-6 Arrow night-fighter (complete. £16 retail price ticket plus £5 of aftermarket PE in it!)
One box with 2 x 1/72nd Airfix F2H Banshees and a Hasegawa Grumman Panther (no decals for any of them)
Monogram F-82G Twin Mustang (no decals)
Novo F-82 F/G Twin Mustang (no box or decals)
Eastern Express Sea Vixen (highly incomplete: basically just two sets of wings, six Red Tops, plus sundry bits)
Matchbox Douglas F3D-2 Skynight (no decals)
Revell A-1E/AD-5 Skyraider (no decals)
Huh? brand PZL-37 Los (no box, decals or instructions)
Novo Gloster E.28/39 (no box, decals or instructions)
Novo GAL Hotspur (no box, decals or instructions)
1/76th scale Tower Trams London E1 Class Tram (complete)
1/144th scale Eduard Avia S-92 (2-seat Me 262) (complete)

Books (£10 the lot)

Royal Navy Aircraft carriers 1945-1990 by Leo Marriot
British Warship Designs since 1906 by G.M.Stephen
The Hybrid Warship by R.D.Layman & Stephen McLaughlin (saw this years ago in the library and always coveted it)

From The Wooksta (unwanted finds in mystery boxes - cheers Lee!)

2 x white metal Fireflash missiles (no fins, but dead easy to make those from plastic card)
1 x pack of 1/35th cammo net

That 'Good, Bad and the Ugly' sale? I paid £2 for 3 kits and walked off with 7!

Italeri Gripen
Frog He162 still in the bag with old Beatties 20p sticker  ;D
HobbyBoss Dewoitine 520. Opened the box to find that kit plus 4 of the old Frog kits in a bag! Bonus!  ;D

Also got a book of Falklands cartoons by the Royal Marines and a couple of Kenneth Mackseys whatif books on Operation Sealion and World War 3.

Gondor

received an ebay win today

1 x 1/72 Hasegawa J.A.S.D.F. E-2C Hawkeye with an Authentic Decals decal sheet for some US Navy aircraft. I also have in the stash Sky Decals Israeli markings too.

Couldn't get what I was after at Huddersfield so settled for a new tool Eduard Profipack 1/72 Fw 190 A5. Absolutely superb, especially for £12.99. For a long time I thought there were 2 kits on the sprue there are that many extras  :o You basically get 2 of everything (including fuselage and wings) apart from the cowl rings and cockpit. For some bits you get 4 alternatives plus there are loads of bits intended for latter boxings.  ! She will probably be real which means my Airfix or Revell one will go to the ANR and the Swiss will get one of the others in the stash.

Also got some Albion Alloy sanding sticks and some decent tweezers. Oh yes and some coffee stirrers....cheers Mossie
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Arrived today from ebay:

Parcel from Kitfinger, containing:
Airkit Spitfire F21, albeit incomplete and just the fuselage and wings.*
Airkit Spitfire II Rotol prop
Aeroclub Spitfire F.XII fuselage conversion
Aeroclub Spitfire FR.XVIIIe fuselage conversion
Aeroclub Seafire F.XVII fuselage conversion

A parcel from another trader.  Again, MORE Spitfires:
Ventura Spitfire HF.VII
Ventura Spitfire F.VIII
Ventura Spitfire F.IXc
Ventura Spitfire PRXI
Ventura Spitfire F.XIVe - this was part started, with much of the hard work done.
Ventura Seafire F.VII
Model News Spitfire F.XII (the company was often referred to as "Bad News" given the state of the mouldings... Tamiya they're not!)
The Eduard Profipack reboxing of the Aeroteam Spitfire F.21

AND, best of all, an Airkit Spitfire F21, completely assembled.  The guy had done a decent job of it, a little filler and a coat of paint and she's done. He described it as "possible bin fodder"

*The wings will go to finish the F21 I got from PR19_Kit a few years back that was sans wings.  I've spare Airkit canopies and moulds for all the cockpit internals and tailplanes.  Somewhere else in the stash, I have the Airkit C wing conversion that should fit this, enabling me to do the only Airkit Spitfire F14.  I'm surprised he never did one.

HUMA 1/72 Dornier Wal on it's way from Nihon via eBay.
Even with shipping still the most reasonable current price I've seen on the kit.
Why, oh why did I think $33 was too dear 15 years ago?, if only I could get it for that now.
:banghead:

Yes, it will be for a Lovecraft Mountains of Madness build in honour of the late, great Greg Ewald.

From Clearly Scale in Canada,  a second (due to some confusion with his mail forwarders) 1/24 resin 6.4 litre Supercharged Hemi with T56 manual gearbox.

Its a gorgeous bit of casting.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Excellent! Obtaining the HUMA Wal must already have included some dark rites, hopefully there is no hidden Shoggoth in the box...
