An 1:72 Italeri F-104G for the stash with no direct plan/idea.

U-2 wings?  ;D

Have Academy's "approximation" in The Stash destined to become a Finnish whif complete with the same camo as on FAF MiG-21's.

Then again, a non-whiffed (or whiffery limited to the decals) 104G sitting in QRA waiting for Emergency Action Message for a Zipper mission, carrying four gasbags (with NO dayglo tape whatsoever if she's a German bird) and B61 insta-sunshine under the belly, can't ever be wrong but for some reason seems to be rarely done.

Tooled up as a conventional striker with wingtip tanks and so much bombs and rockets underneath that she can't get off the runway would also be attractive - again, too rarely seen (except a rare C with a pair of M117's in SEA camo, or a German G with twin Kormorans). What is it with air-to-air loadouts or nothing but droptanks?

Captured/hijakced/defected/bribed/handwaved 104 in Soviet/Warpac markings in some Soviet/Eastern European test flight centre? Rigged to fire AA-2's or AA-8's depending on the year? (Considering the Finnish Air Force managed to use both of them on Hawks and Drakens - and Sidewinders on MiG-21's - it's not even too farfetched idea...)

A modernization with IRST, re-engined with something modern (F404 derivatives for lighter weight, F100 and the like for added thrust), AMRAAMs or other modern ordnance, chaff/flare dispensers, built-in ECM, the works.

Y'know, putting Starfighter wings on the U2 fuselage is the logical thing to do, but so many people have gone straight there that my non-comformist little heart is starting to have a knee-jerk reaction against it... The U2 wing isn't just very long, it's also very straight. Hmmm.....  ;)

Then you'll also need some area-ruling on the fuselage, just to keep in style.  ;D

Revell boxing of the 1/48 Eduard Roland C.II. I've always liked the aircraft ever since I made the old Airfix kit eons ago and once Revell reboxed it, I thought "why not ?".

First Revell kit I've had with the new style instructions. On decent paper (hooray), in colour  (hooray), rather similar to Airfix and a few others out there now in the way they show the build, paints are still Revell and mixes of (boo) and the multi lingual nature of the symbology explanations is confusing to say the least  But they are way, way better then the old style on council issue toilet paper and smudged ink

Nah, just add some Kuschmann carrots.  ;D

Gits......oh well, you get what you pay for.....on closer inspection the started P38 is incomplete......supercharger bits missing, the Tornado ADV is missing a wing (both parts) and some u/c bits and the two HobbyBoss P39's are actually Academy....with no decals at all. I wanted the decals slogans for another two builds that are complete and awaiting some paint and decals. I don't mind buying started/incomplete kits as long as i know that at the start.......got some bargains at the last Hendon model show this way. I gotta say a bit miffed.....yes yes people will say check first but if parts are missing it should be advertised as such.....i say the onus is on the seller....never had any issues on here with all the kits i have bought..........all from the same bloke......
BODY,BODY....HEAD..!!!!

Bought one of these;

Construction started but not too far. However, on re-checking the box I found that what I thought were the instructions were some kind of sporting draw/schedule.

Lucky I'm a Whiffer or I'd be worried! ;D

I've built a fair few Academy P39's and have a few of the transfer sheets left. You are welcome to them if they'd help mate ? (Bugger, just checked and I only have bits  :banghead:) however I have a couple of slogans from a Pe2/Pe3 sheet you are welcome to. No idea what they say but obviously they are suitably warlike/heroic.

Can let you have some stars and numbers from Academy P.39 as well.

Could let you have them when we meet up for the books ?

Chris

(Amended after I looked in the box  :banghead:)
