Tamiya 1/72 Jaguar GR-1.  Made in Italy which makes me think it's a reboxed Italeri kit.

You are correct in that thinking. Italeri have a re boxing arrangement with Tamiya that allows easier access for Italeri to the Japanese market for some of its 1/72nd aircraft kits. It also allows Tamiya to fill gaps cheaply in its own line up.

And it's a LOT better than the rather ancient Airfix offering too.

It's the resin and white metal kit. Got a 1/72 Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird in the stash, might alter it to look similar.

Just got another Airfix Beaufighter in Fenwicks of Newcastle. This one will be Dutch but not sure if NEIAF with the "National Flag" style markings as I have a sheet for Dutch Mitchells or as an RAF Coastal Command squadron returning home after the War with orange triangles replacing the RAF roundels. Again I have a Coastal Command sheet with a Dutch Sqd on it - I think ? I'm a long way from home at the mo

'Small' addition: the bloody ENORMOUS 1:48 HobbyBoss YF-23. Replaces the TSR2 as a strike aircraft in the near future after a valiant career. That's the basic back-story anyway!
