Today I received a snap fit non specific scale AMT Scooby Doo Mystery Machine.
I built one a few years back for a niece as a house warming present and wanted one for myself but wasn't willing to pay the usual asking price of $40 to $50.  This was a mere $20.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

An 1:72 Xtradecal sheet for A-7 trainers. Might find use in various projects.  ;D

The strip mining I remember is the trip to Colinear for the TSR transfer sheets. Young lads face was priceless

I know I may not look like it because I hardly ever have time to build anymore, but, I am the new owner of a 700 scale Dragon HMS Invincible Falklands War 1982, and the new Airfix Sea King HC.4. I'm almost too excited to open the boxes ! I'd better have a beer first

The Wooksta!

Home Bargains in Wallsend has been cleared of Spitfires - 5 PR19s and 2 F22s.

Having looked at the store locator, I have at least four untapped within range  - although one is Sunderland...  Hmmm. Cheap Spitfires but having to beard the Mackems in their lair?  Tough call....  May have to get me shots at teh RVI on Monday.  Wish me luck, lads!

Good luck, Lee! I'm very jealous of that clearance deal on the Spits. I want a 22 but the cheapest in NZ is about $16 plus postage. Nothing like that deal!!!

I have a baggie of 40k bitz from BitzBox in the UK: some shoulder pads, backpacks and helmet aerials for my Fire Warriors; and a Chaos Space Marine helmet to go under a special character.

Thanks for the tip!

I just hit the Stockport Home Bargains and came away with (all 1/72nd):

4 x Gloster Gladiator Mk.1
1 x Douglas Dauntless
1 x Hawker Typhoon 1B
3 x Spitfire PR.XIX
3 x Spitfire F Mk.22
3 x Spitfire Mk.IXc
3 x Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7/Trop

They have a few more Mk.IX spits and some Ki-46 Dinahs left.

To go in the ebay/show sale boxes. Tried the Edgeley branch too, but they didn't have any.

Just hit three more Home Bargains today, in Clayton, Droylesden and Ashton (almost in a straight line down the same road... ;D). It's funny how some stores have a completely different selection to others, and then some stores have exactly the same selection.

8 x Vampire T.11
4 x Higgins LCVP
4 x Red Arrows Hawk (50th season boxing)
4 x Fw190 F-8/A-8 (series 2 boxing)
4 x Hurricane Mk.I
3 x Spitfire MkVb
3 x F-51D Mustang

Other stuff they had that I passed on:

1/72nd Town Fountain (resin)
1/32nd SAS figures
1/32nd Paratroopers (can't remember if they were UK or US)
Cutty Sark starter set
Marie Rose starter set
