After 15 years of faithful duty, my engraving tool (from Aldi, cheap but with a very good Mabucchi motor and variable speed) died yesterday evening while cutting through my current EE Lightning/Su-17 kitbash for the Cold War GB.
R.I.P.  :-\

Anyway, I was lucky and happy to find a used specimen of this tool/set on ebay, I hope it is a worthy replacement.

NARSES2

I find it quite hard to part with old tools after they've given years of service even after they are completely knackered. Just get attached to them for some reason ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Attached to them? What are you, some kind of cyborg?

Mind you, that would explain Dizzy's rapid speed of model building  ;D

Yes!  With at least 4 arms, 2 of which have rotating tool carriers like a multi axis machining centre.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Dizzy, and the rest of us, have been assimilated for YEARS! 44 of them in my case.......
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

IN MY CASE AT LEAST 55YRS!

But to the more mundane aspects of this thread.....
From Tiger Hobbies

Fujimi 1/144 B-29 Superfortress with their extra transfer sheet of RAF Washington B! markings.

I used to think that this kit was a Fujimi re-pop of the old Crown/Minicraft kit.
NOT SO! This is a much better rendition of a B-29. Plus you get a full bomb load plus bomb racks for the bomb bay, the two Atomic Bombs, and the re-fuelling boom parts for a KB-29.

And a Kinetic 1/48 F-16F has also been ordered from a Portuguese shop...

Arrived today! The shop from which i bought it, BigCatmodelismo.pt, didn't have in stock so i had to wait an extra week, but i don't mind as the price is the cheapest i could find and was also faster and safer as the carrier they work with is very good. They even call me before delivery as i might be at work and set another hour or place for delivery in hand.
