Yesterday and today saw some additions to the stash, yesterday some very nice decals and some AIM-54's from DeathJester. The decals are for my Honduras air force and navy, and also some for my S.H.A.D.O. builds. Today arrived a 1/72nd scale M113 AS4, with 4 separate turrets and a load of "luggage" to attach to said vehicle. Very nice detailed vehicle too and is cast one piece, in resin. Theses came from Uncle Les in Australia.

An Airfix Ki-46 II for two kitbash projects and a Bilek Me 210.

Gondor

One tin of Humbrol Hu 166 as the tin I have been using has gone all grainy

One of those blurred runways which going by the scale is probably for 1/144 than 1/72 which is what I was after. It shall not go to waste though!

Not much at Southern yesterday but I was only there for a couple of hours.

Got some tools and paints, also a couple of nice bases at a £1 each. These are for late war/early 50's hard standings, one will have tarmac and the other concrete. May try and paint or might get some of the printed sheets you can get.

Only kit was armour - shock horror  ;D Got the Plastic Soldiers 1/72-23mm kit of the A9 Cruiser tank. You get 3 kits in the box with options for European or Middle East based tanks with the C.S. version as another option. Very simple kits with 1 piece tracks and running gear but look very nice and are an ideal way to see if I want to get back into armour. Amusingly as I confessed my deviation to Mike McEvoy over a cup of tea he produced a boxing of the Vickers twin turret light tank  ;D It's only on the way home that I thought the Vickers would make a good vehicle for the RAF Regiment when it came to guarding airfields

Should have said plans for the A9 are a CS version in France, a standard 2pdr version in the desert in a Caunter scheme and a version in France used to test a camouflage based on the French multi colour ones.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A lifetime's supply of Slater's MekPak from Bungle's sale.

The packaging had to be seen to be believed!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

From a charity shop in Hereford today; an Airfix Spitfire Ia starter kit for 99p.  Unopened, with 4 potlets of paint, a brush and even a tubule of poly cement.   A bargain!!

It may become an RAFVR aircraft from 1946, either based at RAF Jurby Isle of Man with a red  triskel(the funny Manx three legged thing) in the centre of the roundel or possibly RAF Squires Gate (Blackpool) with a red rose centre .

The other alternative is a Foreign Office (unarmed) dispatch aircraft with the King's Messenger greyhound symbol .

Anybody got any other off the wall ideas?

From Bungle's sale, an Airfix DH Heron in 1/72nd scale.

To be an improvised gunship, I think. I have a photo in a book of a Dove used as such in Biafra: it has the door removed and a ground-mount 0.50 cal Browning fitted, with the tripod roped to the seat legs....

Just a couple of kits from a few weeks back at the Huddersfield show:
Airfix 1/72 MiG-29 (from Weaver)
Hasegawa Tamago Plane HS Harrier.  Older boxing of the Harrier egg plane, with a lovely twee image of Big Ben, a Routemaster and a Highland regiment on the front.  Comes with some chicken and egg decals.  Shame there's no decals for the Union Jack scheme on the side of the box.

A few 1/72 Hobby Boss easy kits from a local discount store, Boyes in East Hull:
Spitfire Vb
Hurricane IIC
MiG-15 Bis

I picked them up to do with the girls, their first plastic kits. Daddy was going to be the bad guy with the '109, but they'd ran out so I ended it up with the MiG-15 instead.  I was looking forward to it but daughter 1A spied the lightning stripe and claimed it.  Daughter 1B claimed the Hurricane, then the Spitfire, then the Hurricane, back to the Spitfire again.....

If I get the Hurri, I'll probably do it Aussie as a camouflaged counterpart to my silver one.  If I get the Spitfire Vb, anyone got any ideas?  Brother Narses gave me a few, but mid-war is a period I find difficult to whiff.

Green n black with light blue undersides an a yelow nose/red spinner......and some Finnish markngs........

Went to LHS to pick up the Tamiya 1/72 F-16CJ that the owner ordered and reserved for me, and brought one 10ml jar of XF-61, which was for free, he totally rules!!

To compensate for my last visit where I bought only the Evergreen rod i went in for I returned to the LHS and purchased an Airfix 1/72 Beaufighter (new mould) and a Revell '41 Willys Gasser (re-pop of the original Stone, Woods & Cook Swindler II kit with opening doors & boot and the Olds donk - not the newer kit of the Swindler A with the Hemi).

I must say the new Beau kit is a beauty.  And, I only paid what Airfix would have charged me from the website.  Although that's mainly due to the horrendous exchange rate.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Just won a lot of 15 1:72 pilots (leftover from various kits, mostly Matchbox figures) on ebay. Yay!
