...... but having been procrastinating about buying them for ages I had to buy tme now as The Modelhaus is closing for good next year.

Oh dear, they've done some great stuff in the past. I should look at their lists I reckon.

[Like I really NEED more model kits at this stage of my life??!!!]

[Later]  :banghead: Their website has been down 'temporarily' since February......]
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

My stash has NOT grown again

Seen in the window of Hereford Models, a Trumpeter 1:200 scale HMS  Nelson.........aaaaagh!!!!!!!!!  It will be at least 3 1/2 feet long.....I don't have a window sill large enough, even if I did have £229.   Anyone here fancy a giant stash increase?

The announcement of the closure caused such an avalanche of orders that the only way they can catch up (if they want to stick to their retirement deadline of 2017) is to suspend the site.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Wooksta!

Snaffled off ebay

3x 3D Spitfire mk IXe upgrade sets

The same seller had a few more so it's in me watch items and I'll nab some more in a few weeks.

Did the wife also come with a paint and weathering set?  ;D

The Wooksta!

They usually do.  Their nail files and brushes can be useful too.

More to the point, did she come with instructions?  ;)

Her instructions are like those for a new computer or tablet. Not in writing but self loaded and hidden in a folder that is accessible only by chance on a good day. Written in a completely foreign language that translates like the worst model kit instructions (and we've all seen a few of those!) and has the annoying habit of rewriting itself without warning.

Congratulations Zac and best wishes!

It's not the instructions , it's all of the after-market modifications and variations that are the interesting bits . Marriage is like a model you never finish........all the fun is in the continuous building.     Congratulations from family Rheged...........30 years (almost) and still working on it!

Welcome to the club KZ.
Just remember the two most important words in any marriage - "Yes dear".

I'm glad you found a 1:1 wife.  Mrs z and I used to live with a Kiwi lass who was 1.2:1 and she reckoned she was one of the short ones...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Mossie

A few masking sets for the Airfix Defiant, canopy masks x2, and one each of an 'A' and 'B' scheme camouflage set.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

 You're all very kind! It was a wonderful day that went according to plan with no issues. Plus I managed a sneaky visit beforehand to the airport to see the Catalina!
