Unfortunately this one only has the prop bits as the seller must've built the jet...I have a plan that involves my resin casting kit. I see the Arii quad boxing can be had for cheaper than many 1/48 prop fighters if you know where to look, talk about value for money!

The one I got for £cheap at Cosford was the same.

Bede BD5 compared to a 1/72 C-5 Galaxy  (this just happens to be my ""biggest & smallest"" 1/72 kits pic)
Had to check Wikipedia: BD-5J had a wingspan of 5,2m and Galaxy cargo hold is 5,8m wide. So if the Galaxy acted as a flying aircraft carrier the Bedes would fit in even without folding wings. The only problem would probably be that the Bede's maximum speed is barely above Galaxy's stall speed and could barely carry the pilot and fuel, let alone weapons - but that's what Whiffverse is for... ;D

No, I'm never going to build one, but the idea was just irresistible not to write down ;)

Just have the Bedes take-off out the rear doors  ;D

Just collected from the Post Office

Trumpeter 1/72 Su-24M Fencer D
Scale Resin 1/72 Buccaneer S1

We finally have a decent standard Fencer kit in 72nd that's readily available  - More accurate than the Dragon kits with proper separate D and E boxings, and easier to build than the accurate but rare limited run Russian kit.

The Buccaneer is a much improved version of the CMK kit in better resin with clear engraving and configured as the S1 version. Will be real as part of FAA collection to go with Scimitar Tanker and Sea Vixen onboard Eagle

That stash increase is a pleasant trip down memory lane
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I would have bought that Starfighter just for the box art.  Typical Hasegawa of the period.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Some vintage FROG stuff there Chaos, and that JoHan 262 brings back some memories, I must have built one of them in 1974 or so!

Where are you finding these vintage kits from, is there some 'treasure trove' in Berlin? There's used to be a good shop just south of Templehof when I lived there in 1978 and he had a good stock of vintage stuff.

The BD-5Js obviously need afterburners and/or the Galaxy obviously needs vectored thrust so it can fly slower...

I walked into my LHS today and the new Trumpeter 1/72 J-10B jumped into my hand and demanded that I give the shopkeeper money!!!  Oh no!!! I had no choice.

Today arrived my Ace 2S14 Zhalo-s (sting) Basically a BTR 70 with a turret and 85 mm gun stuck on it. Designed as a tank killer but couldn't as gun was too small. Also 2 packs of armoury Russian heavy unguided heavy rockets also in 1/72nd scale. They may go on my TU-91 "Bear cub" Cartel Coin aircraft.

Mach 2 X-24A and -B, both small 'aircraft' in the same HUGE box, courtesy of JayBee's Stash Sale, thanks Jim.

Given my predeliction for long winged aircraft, these can't manage to summon up even ONE wing between them!  :o
