When you get hold of the Hurkas could you tell us what the quality is like? They are currently working on the CAD for a 1/72nd Buccaneer. Their 1/48th RF-84 looks great in photos. Only kit I have of theirs is the 1/48th F-5A that was never a fully finished tool but was released by Tiger Hobbies which is kinda clunky!

Didn't know they produced any other kits - never heard of them 'til I saw this kit on the German ebay site.  The kit looks good - not Airfix / Hasegawa standard but as good as some of the modern Czech kits. Nice detail - excellent multi-coloured instructions. Has a single piece canopy,  the only thing that doesn't look right is the five blade prop looks on the small side.

Nice to know my stash is provoking some physics debate.

Probably in places far removed from here too. It's almost a physical entity in its own right.  ;D ;)

I did post some photos last year, albeit out of date ones from 2014, but the links seem to be down. Here they are again:

Note that several boxes on the shelves are not Spitfires but do in fact contain them.  The shelf below the "Grand Slam Lancaster VI" does not contain any Spitfires.  There's a pair of DB7s though.

Actually, I don't have any build plans for the bulk of the Spitfires.  The CMR and Eduard kits will be used for real ones at some distant point in the future whereas the Airfix ones being cheap and replaceable are used for The Plan.

Looks familiar, except for a bigger variety among the biotope inhabitants.  ;D
Seems to be a highly dedicated reservation zone.  ;)

As a side note: a 1:72 Revell Ar 240 night fighter for only EUR 4,- from ev!lbay joins my pile/stash/heap.

Also on route from Shapeways are:-

1/700 RN Phantom FG1 (7 out of 8 folded)
1/700 RN Buccaneers (folded)
1/700 RAF Buccaneers (needed these for non folded versions
1/700 Gannet ASW & AEW (folded and unfolded)

These are for either refreshing the CVA01 air group or a possible conversion of the Fujimi Ark Royal to its Phantomisation configuration (Now that's a conversion set I would like to see done by 3D printing)

Delivered - Quite nice too

Also popped into local Home Bargains to restock on bum fodder and found they had restocked the Airfix kits so got a couple of Vampire T22 and s Higgins LCVP, noted they had the Red Arrows Hawk and the Fountain.

Thanks Bungle, think i'll try their Buccaneer when it gets released! Here's the website. http://www.tanmodel.com/index_en.html
They've been laser scanning a lot of stuff in Turkish museums. The CADs for the 1/32nd F5A/B and F-4E series have been started too.  Most interested in their 1/72nd Bucc & CN-235/295, 1/48th SR71 & Blenheim IV.

Speaking of Lindberg! I just received the 1/48 XFY-1 VTO "Pogo" kit as an early birthday gift to myself (an online retailer gives regular customers a $10 discount code for their birthday).

what a lovely company they must be..

although frankly I'm sure Airfix could have sold them at £2.99 themselves, or is there some trading regulation that stops them doing that ?

Basically, get what you can now as it won't be there much longer. In fact, what's left is probably the dregs as quite a few stores have had the last stock.  I'm sure that we could arrange some hostage swaps at some stage for the UK contingent.

On a similar note, apparently ALDI have got some Airfix starter sets in again at £4.99.

Wo this is cool.
In Germany it is hard to find model kits in Shops or Discounters. Or Good model shops there are very Rae here.

An interesting kit that, complete with a gear train inside the prop hub so they turn in opposite directions! I built one years ago for my mate's model shop window and we sold out of them in a week!

Having finally found the Hereford HB, all they had was a solitary Vampire......but it's mine now, and may possibly become a Tweed Vampire......or" Republica Libra"  out of Gavin Lyall's novel Shooting Script.........but then I'd need a B25 Mitchell and a net full of bricks  too.

I'm seeing 'dregs' stock more than anything else now (did four more yesterday: got nothing). 'Dregs' seems to be fountains, LCVPs, 32nd scale figures, sailing ships, Red Arrows Hawks and Vampires. Some stores have various Spitfires as well, but none of the 'rare' Mk.I/IIs.
