Unexpectedly won a vintage Airfix 1:72 F-86D on evilbay. Two plans so far - either to be sliced up and combined with an AF-1E, or to be built more or less OOB, but under a whiffy operator flag...

Direct from Hornby a pair of Airfix 1/72ns Bristol Beaufighter TF-10s

Next door neighbour just rang the doorbell and handed me mine  Just awaiting the new Xtradecal sheet to arrive now. There's a nice Operation Firedog one on there

Popped in to see Thorvic today as I was delivering in the area and somehow a few of his kits made their way into my truck and then into my stash.

Aoshima 1/700 Minsk
Dragon 1/700 USS Bon Homme Richard
Dragon 1/700 USS Boxer
PST 1/72 S-300

A couple of paint sets also made their way into my stash too, also via Thorvic.

Akan Royal Navy Colours for Coastal Forces and Hataka USAF, USN & USMC paint set (modern greys)

Cheers mate.

Now to make a start on an F-35............

Just added two of the Roden 1/144 C-141B kits and my 12th Hasegawa F-20 to the stash. I special ordered THREE of the Revell Maiden Ed Force One 747 kits.

One can never have enough of Iron Maiden in model airplane form. :D
It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or the fourteenth.

Thanks to the generosity of another forumite, an envelope of decals arrived yesterday: NewAirfix 1/72 Skyhawk for a current project, and bonus sheets for Hawker Sea Furies (x2 manufacturers, handy for Kittiwakes!) and a special livery Dutch or Norwegian (I forget) F-5...I have an idea for that...

Today I received a birthday present from Sam. Well, kinda: she gave me money (I'm hard to buy for, apparently  ;)) and I bought a bunch of kits online! The first to arrive was Eduard's Profipack-style rebox of the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk.22, to be done as 1980s Zimbabwean warbird PK350. A nice kit with some exquisite resin, re-painted PE and some masks. Lovely!

The majority of the female species are difficult to buy for (I know one who isn't  ;D) but you try giving most of them money and your on the sofa for a week or two

Xtradecal sheet for the Airfix Beaufighter arrived by postie this a.m. Now wondering what to do with the Dominican option ?

I like to give her wishlists with URLs in them, so she knows it's exactly the right thing!

Possibly and I now have 3 of the Airfix new tools. 1 built, 1 to build with this sheet ; both real world and the 3rd is earmarked for French AF in Indo China. So the Dominican transfers may, note may, go on a Vallom Buckingham, the Brigand is earmarked as SEAC 1946.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Surely, even in 1/144 that's a SERIOUSLY big model!  :o :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
