To be boring this one will probably be done 'real-world' - just can't decide between the natural metal finish or the menacing low demarcation grey over sky  :-\
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Glad I'm not the only one who finds that scheme menacing.

Mine will be RAF SEAC

Do you have the CMR Wyvern TF.1 as well then Chris, or 'just' a normal TF.4?

I've not made a Wyvern (infact the only one I've made) since the Trumpeter 1/72nd scale model came out, but an RAF SEAC scheme sounds good .... or (you've got me thinking now!) Dark Blue Pacific Fleet  ;D

Was it the What-If SIG that did a whole range of differently camouflaged Wyverns at Telford the year (or the year after) that kit appeared?

Yup got the CMR TF.1 in the stash along with 2 S.4's.

I thought of RAF because they were interested in the type.

The Great Wyvren display was at the Scottish Nationals in Perth a few years ago and put on by one of the SIG members in the Dundee Club, Dugald Emans (I've probably got that wrong) and was in 1/48th scale. Loads of them, lovely models.

Got me a Revell 1:72 Alpha Jet - actually a re-boxed Heller kit. Plan is, after I have seen an Alpha Jet toting an Exocet(!), to create a navalized "Lancier" version in low-viz AĆ©ronavale colors for the "In the Navy GB". The deadline prolongation should make this possible.  ;D

The last of Sam's birthday gifts to me has arrived: Minicraft 1/48 Bonanza, to become a Baron.

And a late arrival from Hannants! Three 1/72 decal sheets: DK Decals B-25 Mitchell in the RAAF and NEIAF service, ROP O.S. Blenheims in the RAF Service, and Kits-World B-29s including the Kee Bird. Happy days!

From Spruefinders on Evil-Bay.

(Another) Trumpeter Hawker Sea Fury FB11.  Feck! the box is huge.  This one came with a set of aftermarket RAN decals.
MPM Northrop N-3PB.  Don't know what i'll do with this.  Initially I was thinking Biggles in the Baltic but I just checked the book and boomerang squadron planes are described as two seat amphibians not 3 seat floagtplanes.  Maybe RAF med scheme instead.

Both are 1/72 obviously.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It must has been a 'son of' that display that I saw then as I've never been to Perth!  ;D It definitely would have been at Telford so it can't have been 'the Great Wyvern Display'  :-\

Two more overseas deliveries to work this morning - something to play with at morning tea! From a Canuckistani eBay seller: complete Airfix 1/72 DH Heron II in its original 1963 box (destined to receive Lycomings); and from Czech Republic the Omega Models 1/72 Percival Vega Gull "Complete resin kit of Jean Batten's plane" (which was a Gull Six, but that's ok!).

Yeap, Dugald has taken "elements" of the collection to Telford.

A Tamiya 1:72 Birdcage F4U - intended to be built OOB, but in a "Yellow Wings" livery. Should look interesting.

Not too much of a stretch as the prototype was yellow winged.
