Scored these for $9 a piece all said and done. The stuff is in excellent shape!  Complete and was obviously well stored. The Halifax is even factory sealed with original $1.29 price tag with "special sale" for 85 cents.

Also picked up a Heller F-86F for a dream.  Also in great shape and complete.

I've also a bit of a back log of stuff I've gotten dirt cheap and some of it is quite nice/unusual. I'll get through it at some point to take pictures of the more interesting stuff and list some of the others.

You know I' don't think I've ever seen either of those Airfix boxing's before, and yet I probably got the kits when they first came out ? Makes me wonder how much other box art is out there I've not seen ?

That's probably because I think they are US Airfix boxing's from the period

The Wooksta!

From ebay:

Ventura Spitfire mk IXc "High Altitude Interceptors"

You'd think that with plenty of Airfix, AZ, CMR and Eduard mk IXs in the stash, not to mention the Ventura ones I already have, that I'd have stopped buying them up.  However, I just can't resist and I'll confess that I'm a hardcore recidivist.  Still, I got it for the start price of three notes.  Which is nice.  Me maximum bid was £3.10...

I've got a couple of US Airfix kits of that period and they have the same yellow lettering, so I'd go along with that too.

One of them actually has 'US Airfix' in yellow on the box too, that's the 'Bit o' Lace' B-17G kit IIRC.

The 'Big Book' says;

Heading of the section has Airfix Craftmaster, Airfix-72 CM

Airfix Craftmaster: These are Airfix kits which were re-boxed by MPC and issued only in the USA during 1965-1968. The Airfix Craftmaster logo was dropped in 1968 and Airfix kits appeared thereafter with the MPC logo until 1978.

For a kitbashing project (sometime in the far future...) needed a 1:100 MiG-25 as donor kit - and eventually found an AFV Club kit for a decent price in a webs store in the Czech Republic.  ;D

This Old Tool has a New Tool!

Had the chance to pick this up for a few dollars less than going rate so I couldn't pass it up.

And a lovely kit it is too. The first jet I ever flew in.  ;D

Quite literally.  ;D

That was back in 1960, I was 17 at the time. All a bit awe inspiring at that age.  I really ought to build a model of the thing......

I always hope for the best.
