and a magazine with a Hunter article by some gadgy called Jim Bricknell.  Never heard of him...

Nah, I wouldn't believe a name like that, must be a pseudonym.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Delivered over the weekend sometime as I have been away in Cumbria. Four pairs of rubber tracks to fit various 1/72nd scale Russian AFV's and APC's I have been building and rebuilding. all cost about 50 pence a set, and come from ACE models via models Ua. Whilst in Grange over sands I found a small book shop on the train station, and bought myself Modern combat aircraft 23. Mirage. Nice very detailed book of all the mirage variants, and development and prototype Rafale. Also got a book on helicopters of the world, a Chris Allan book from 1976, both were a fiver each.

$10 each at the Ajax show on the weekend, an MPC (Airfix repop) T-6 Harvard, and an Airfix Dauntless. Both qualify for the old kit GB, so if I can get my lazy backside into gear there will be a switching of parts to make a dive-bomber version of the Harvard.

Got hands on a Marivox 1:72 Saab 105 trainer for a reasonable price. Interesting aircraft, and I already have plans for spare parts...

Makes you wonder what a Canadian version would be called.

I have one of them 3/4 built, I like the shape of it too as it is a break from the norm. The kit was a pain to build hence it is stuffed in a box part done.

Literally just arrived at the door as I wrote the last post a Hasegawa Mig-25 in 1/72nd scale. This along with my other one will be a Cartel aircraft, but this one will be a Wild weasel version with anti radar missiles and either heavy rockets, cluster munitions or air to surface missiles too, so an extra pair of pylons will be added. The R-6 missiles on it are going towards the large number to be stuck to the underneath of a TU-22 M and become a "heavy" interceptor also belonging to the Cartel. This will accompany a strike formation against Honduras targets and provide long range air to air cover.

Probably a Harvard.  ;D
There was an attack variant built, called an A-27

Interestingly, there was an inverted V-12 variant, the XAT-6E. One photo I clicked on called it a Texan Ranger.
By the way, it still exists.
