A month in customs?!

That's what I thought.

Where did they come from DogfighterZ ? And were they worth the wait ?

Who new resin intakes were such a threat to Portugal's borders?

Took time for the custom's agent to make his own copies.  ;)

Just lmao, guys!

TCO,Kit, the package got to Portugal not even two weeks after sent, and then was swallowed by the Portuguese bureaucracy because they thought it was a Tablet. I had to send the email through which the order was placed, detailing the product and quantities... although Yukio sent the papers on a clear envelope on the outside of the box, which had all the detailed info, so i think that because the box was of a Polaroid 7" Tablet, maybe they were suspicious of that...
Or maybe they're starting to fear the terrorist threat is coming from Japan... and is made of resin!! :o :banghead: ;D

Kit, you have to remember i'm sick, the damn Acute Falconnitis got me hard, brother... ;D But i can tell you that the detail and shape are good, panel lines are Hasegawa-like, thin and sharp. As i've never used one, i can't say how good it fits but, it's just minor clean up before assembly for the intakes, and you can see from Leptiprince's builds that they fit just fine.
Some may disagree but, IMHO, Lonestar is good quality stuff, at least the stuff i own, i've compared the F-16XL conversions and the DSI intakes to Revell, Hase and even Academy kits, and i can say it's as good as any of those in detail. Maybe Academy has a bit better detail but that's good enough for me. Oh, and maybe even more important considering that it's resin, i've found no bubbles at all on any of the parts, just perfect shapes and a surface smooth as plastic.
It's time to use some of this stuff, i say!!

The CMR Seafire 47 has arrived.  And the fuselage is warped to hell...
I'm sorry to hear that Lee. Is it fixable?

Kit - Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii know! I had to backorder it with Hannants (very impressed with the delivery cost and speed) as a) it's such a gorgeous kit I NEED it; 2) it has the George Welch markings for me to replicate the one restored in NZ; iii) based on the Shackleton, BE2 and other new-tools we won't see it on Kiwi shelves for a year. Ordering it from Airfix direct would've meant a postage cost equivalent to the kit price!!

Sounds like Portuguese customs are trying to compete with ours.
A shower cap sent to my wife once spent 3 months in quarantine.

I visited the LHS today to make an enquiry about Scalextric power supplies and it would have been rude to leave without buying something.
Airfix 1/72 Spit PR XIX.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Wow, that P-40 flew all the way down there pretty darn fast.

Did, didn't it
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Dizzyfugu

Got hands on a 1:72 Italeri NATO weapons set. For just EUR 3,50,-, I could not say no, and more ordnance is always an option.  ;)

And my new Badger is here.

Ferrari was given to me. I'm going to send some Nintendo stuff back for it. Zapper and games.

Hercules there I scored on evilbay for $9 total. It's QUITE BIG even at 1/200.  8 glorious engines and two long wings..   I want to get more than a few of these... I want to take one and put four large turbines on the wings and move the tail plane to the top of the fin to make a T-tail then either make it a fire fighting plane or have it be some military something or other. At least one will be built as intended to honor H.H.

I have more neat stuff to show I'm just busy busy busy. I have a back log of stuff I've acquired in lots and not all is totally noteworthy but some of it sure is and I'd love to share.

A 1:72 Academy Sopwith Camel for just EUR 1,-. Even already have a plan for it: found an experimental Royal Air Corps scheme which should look good on the small biplane.

Steel Penguin

well coming out of SMW there were 2 of the overseas  gests having a quiet smoke by there camper and  giving the cry of  " second kit swap" I did a detour and they had at least 2 boxes of kits left marked up, and were offering them at discount, wheni check pockets I had a handful of silver lleft and said most were out of my range, they pulled an Italari 1:48 tonka out and said £5, as I was having a quick count the one holding it had a quick check and announced " oh sorry no decals, £4 ok?"   so I handed over a handful of change and am happy,   now what to do?  another racer I think
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Thought I'd have a change this Telford, went on a Sci-Fi/figure theme:

MPC 1/100 Pilgrim Observer Space Station
Pegasus Hobbies 1/32 Terminator T-800 Endoskeletons
Airfix 1/32 Multipose US Infantry Europe
Airfix 1/32 Multipose US Marines
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

PR19_Kit

My entire ex-Telford spend was £9.50 on a Freightdog Spitfire XI conversion kit from the Airfix Spitfire PRXIX.

With the number of kits in The Loft (not to mention the 62 unfinished projects that I have) I hardly needed to get anything else!  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit
