The Wooksta!

Won on ebay:

Techmod Spitfire mk XI decals
Airfix Astronauts
They're loose but have the necessary lunar rover.  In addition, two of the figures have the correct pose for the Alien Astronauts from Doctor Who - The Ambassadors of Death

Another Airfix kit landed today, rather older though (box says "model design and tooling (c)1961"): 1/144 DH Comet 4B jetliner. Very pretty box holding a very basic kit! Perfect for my purposes though. I got it from a local seller via eBay with a 15%-off voucher...glad I didn't pay full price. It's a nice-sized kit, but so basic for the NZ retail price!

What kit are they from? I'd like to build a lunar rover.

They were one of the OO/HO box sets of figures Harro http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/review.aspx?id=422

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hmm! I'm looking for a couple of figures like the one sitting in the rover --

Got the last of a trickle of kits and tools today which should keep me quiet over that there xmas thing. Firstly the kits from kitbasher arrived, the Be6 and the frog Gannet, both going to get the razor saw. Then arrived my new airbrush looks expensive, but was only 20 quid. Then arrived my ACE BMP-1 sheik all, I have just finished and built another ACE BMP kit, they are hard work but when done nice builds. I also got a load of rubber tracks to fit Russian APC/IFV's too, to fit said vehicles. As I am after a load of R-60 missiles I found a dragon soviet weapons set of air to air missiles, which only had 4 in. Never mind. Also bought 2 of the ICM kits, that don't have any R-60's in. DOH! From models Ua, today came my order of 2 more sets of tracks, these work out at 75 cents U.S a set. A modelsvit E-150, and I-420 to satisfy my mig fetish, and an ACE  BMD-2 air combat vehicle. And that as they say is that

My first model-related Shapeways purchases arrived: 1/144 Command Module and Apollo astronauts for my Saturn V build:

It's hard to photograph but the detail on the CM is exquisite.

Man, those are really nice... how is the pricing on stuff like that? Pretty reasonable? I'm impressed with that I can see here.

The CM was just over US$15 and the astronauts about US$13 for all six. Including postage to New Zealand it's not really great - half the amount I paid for the rocket! - but worth it if you really want the detail.

Hell, not TOO bad, considering the relative newness of the tech, quality, and etc.  I was expecting even more expensive than that...    Can't wait to see your build coming together!!  :D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
