1/72 Unicraft Shorts PD13 - still rough but as a Buccaneer alternative I thought I would give it a bash.

As my Welsh Great aunt would say. "There's Brave!"
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Oh yes it needs cleaning up, the air holes filled and details added but its not that bad and the subject matter is right up my street after all.

Won on an ebay auction, a Revell 1/72 Hawker Hunter Mk.58.
Also bought Tamiya's 2mm wavy line masking tape, Eduard's Cockpit PE set for the Fujimi 1/72 F-22 Raptor and Yahu's instrument panel for the 1/72 Mirage IIICJ for the AML kit.

The Hunter and the Yahu panel are here, still waiting for the tape and the Eduard PE set.

And this was delivered today with the Hunter, a UMP goodie bag!

An ESCI M48 tank in 1:72. Found an interesting Bundeswehr upgrade project with it, worth taking to the model stage (a real prototype was built, AFAIK). Need to gather some more donor parts, though, but at least the chassis is now there.  ;)

Dizzyfugu

Could not resist an added an ICM Do 215 B-4 to the stash - intended to become a Swedish reconnaissance aircraft, which was actually planned to be but never carried out.

Dizzyfugu

...and won a(nother) cheap Hasegawa Kawasaki T-4 trainer - maybe to become an Austrian Saab 105Ö replacement...?

Just had the Modelsvit 1/72nd Dassault Mirage III V-02 from Bassin Maquette that I pre-ordered delivered. Its the 2nd version with the different engine and revised lift doors.

That's a REALLY neat collection there!

Love the Hasegawa Pancake.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thats the 1/72 Pancake is it not?

I went into the city today to get xmas shopping and made a list which I was determined to stick to.
Conveniently I could get the Lego for the kids from a hobby shop so my list also included some paint and an Airfix BE 2c for myself (i'm enjoying the Tigger Moth and fancied another biplane).
Unfortunately they didn't have a BE 2c so I was forced to buy the dogfight double set with that and the Fokker.
Damn.

Fred

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That's such a shame

I received today

1 x 1/72 Avro Shackleton T4 VP293 'Zebedee' Conversion set by AlleyCat Models.   Not sure it will be a straight out of the box or if I will build a normal T4 or even if I will use it as a basis for a Mk 1 then there is the question of what to build it with? I have a couple of the Revell reissue of the Mk 3 and an Aeroclub Mk2 conversion set as well as a couple of Airfix Shackleton's and a Revell AEW version so I have lots of options.

Gondor

*Edit* Decided to buy the Airfix kit and have a go at making the Mk1 version.
