My Zvesda 1/72nd scale BMPT- Terminator arrived today, wow. I am liking the look of this, and yes the Cartel have been getting some formidable christmas presents this year, that will be leaving the Honduras army quaking in their boots. I have been reading up on the real Terminator and it is a very impressive and formidable package.

I think it'll be a RAF replacement / alternative buy instead for the A.W.Argosy....but what markings / camouflage ?

Brown Bomber.
Seconded. Really make people look twice!

Showing my ignorance here .... is "Brown Bomber" the 'desert' camouflage scheme, or are you suggesting I do it up like a WWII Lancaster Bomber  :o

They are referring to the Dark Earth/Light Stone disruptive camo over Black as worn by the Andover and Hercules with a Tactical roundel under one wing and light grey underwing serials, with Standard roundels and fin flash on the upper surfaces.

As for the scheme on the type, given that it would have been acquired under MDAP and as such required for NATO theatre, i'm afraid the type would not have been used east of suez and worn the standard RAF Transport Command scheme with the blue lightning flash cheatline rather than the tactical scheme  ;D

Just placed an order for the Mach2 Avro York in RAF colours.

BNA Model World took up to 80% off so being a properly brung up bloke I couldn't insult them by not getting anything.
When we got back today there was awaiting me 2 of those runways printed on thin card (soon to be seen under everything I build  ), an Eduard Mig 15bis resin cockpit, resin gun barrels for same, 2 sets of brass gun barrels for a P38M (I could swear I only ordered one but what the hey, they'll get used) and a fresh bottle of Vallejo model air zenrat industries lighter blue.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

But this is WhiffWorld................  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Before complete and utter chaos descends  ;D one of the boxes under the "tree" was as expected a model. Indeed 3 models  The Airfix 1/72 Pearl Harbor 75th Anniversary Gift Set  ;D

So added to the stash are a P.40, a Zero and a Kate. All new tools and I've built all 3 previously and they are great kits, so very, very wellcome additions to the stash.

Yesterday my wife's uncle gave me a $20 gift voucher for their local hobby shop, so I picked up the Lindberg 1/180 "Delta Wing B-70 Intercontinental Bomber". I've always wanted a Valkyrie so this was a good day!
