Revell Spitfire mk IIa (new tool)

So what's the verdict on it ? You have a few now

Nice kit
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Verdict on the Revell new tool?  Accurate shape let down by vile wheels, incorrect canopy, incorrect u/c doors, awful prop, wrong ailerons (metal when they should be fabric for mk II), incorrect oil cooler, wrong shape radiator.

Basically, it's a Va, not a IIa but you have to fix so many bits (using spares from an Airfix IIa built as the early mk I -0 and even then, you can't fix them all!) that you're better off just getting the Airfix kit and not having to faff about.

I have five now, and that's four too many...

That Pikachu is the first kit my wife ever built! The ears wiggle when you move the head. He's not too big.

Oh, with special effects!?  ;D

Cheers Lee, I won't bother, but it does beg the question why do you have 5 ?

Tis whifworld, Chris - Brother Wooksta will build 5 OOB whifs that assume the numerous kit faults are real world design features  ;)

I  ordered 3 from Uncle Frank but couldn't resist the first one on ebay.  Got number 5 as part of a lot with the Eduard 9.

How big (or small) is the Pikachu model?  I have some 1:6 figure models at home, and I wonder how the ...thing's relative size might be?

It'll stand about 4" tall when completed.  I was guessing with 1/6 scale as none is given on the box but from the cartoons a Pikachu is about the size of a large cat so that seems about right.
