Swifter: The Swift F7 in Operational Service

Not much of a back story here, simply that the Swift F7 enters service with it's related Fireflash missile

Watching with interest.  I've an F7 conversion that I'll be using (eventually) for a RW build using an Xtrakit Swift 5.

I have one of those too. Might eventually use the second nose from the Freightdog conversion set, modify it a bit and change the weaponry to make an F8 with the Xtrakit, cant think of much else to do with it

Great idea. I'm hoping to hit my LHS this week and see if they're in

A few parts have been stuck together. The main parts of the ejector seat and the nose undercarriage bay have been assembled. The ejector pin marks on the inside of the air intakes have been filled and sanded flush so that's another part that can be progressed further.
Seriously considering 71 Squadron markings for the F7 but not 100% behind that idea yet.

Loving the fit of the parts in this kit. Quite small tolerances so far. Nothing painted as yet and I have found that the Starboard intake trunking is slightly short shot, however after looking at the part when its in place the problem is not apparent.

Found that I did not need any clamps, pegs or tape to hold the wing parts together once the glue was applied even though dry fitting had suggested that a few pegs would be an idea. Really looking forward to this one going together and I have another in the stash to do nearly OOB

Some progress today with the wings and a slight problem. Resin has this tendency to shrink when it's cast and so the F7 wing tips are a little on the short side front to back. Not a huge problem as problems go as some filler and probably a piece of plastic strip added to the leading edge will cure the problem, otherwise so far so good. I should really get around to painting the cockpit. Now which black to use?

I was referring to the fact that I have several blacks by different paint manufacturers and several by some of them. I decided to go with what Airfix had in their instructions and used Humbrol 85 partly as it was at hand as well as in the instructions.
