Mikoyan-Gurevich Ye-37 Zvezda Vopit

Part of the Cold War's constant technological push forward, the Mikoyan-Gurevich Ye-37 was an experimental aircraft developed from the MiG 15 to research supersonic propellor behaviour and provide a testbed for turbine engine developments.
A Soviet Thunderscreech if you like.  Only faster, louder and first.

I'm using a 1/72 Dragon MiG 15.

Did some scratchbuilding on the prop section today but the picture I took was crap.
I have some stuff to photograph with an actual camera rather than a phone so i'll snap some pics of it then.

Prop blades will go on the white section with the red lines on it.  I'm going to use six cut down resin C-130J scimitar blades.  Given how low a stock 15 rides i'm going to have to either do a lot of trimming or fit longer legs.

Wings are on and I then spent a pleasant 20 minutes with a 0.4mm drill putting back some of the rivets I lost in the PSR process.
I then glued on the horizontal tails.
As it's a soviet prototype NMF with red stars and no serials is the way it'll be painted.  But before that I need to figure out how long its legs need to be to allow decent length propellor blades.

It'll get longer legs and shorter blades.
The Thunderscreech had short blades and yet still minimal clearance.
